Sweden creates a splash with separate swimming rules for women–in a bow to Muslims

With well over a million Muslim migrants having flooded into Europe, separate swimming rules for women in Sweden is the latest example of Europeans bowing to Muslim lifestyle choices.
In what is little more than a slap in the face to the ideal of equality, municipal pools in Sweden have started offering women-only swimming in deference to the refugees, The Christian Science Monitor reported.
Despite the problem of Swedish women being groped reaching epidemic proportions, forcing ladies to form a vigilante group to help keep Middle East refugees at bay when they go for a swim, local officials say the women-only hours are designed to encourage greater participation from the country’s growing Muslim population.

Never mind that it’s government-imposed segregation.
“Our facilities are used by 40 percent women and 60 percent men,” Johan Hermansson, the head of Malmö’s recreations department, said. “Our ambition is for them to be used equally by girls and boys, men and women.”
So the debate over segregation has begun, according to the Monitor, with plenty of Swedes disagreeing with the idea.
Iva Parizkova Ryggeståhl is a member of a local women’s advocacy group, the International Women’s Association, which opposes gender-separated swimming.
“Men who are not comfortable being in the same swimming pool as women should not be there,” she said. “And we women shouldn’t care whether men are looking at us in the swimming pool or not, and whether they get jealous or not.”
Perhaps the most troubling aspect of the Christian Science Monitor article is that there is not a single reference to sexual assault or molestation.
In a fitting example of the insanity of the left, Sweden’s feminist party, Feministiskt Initiativ, supports women-only swimming.
