Donald Trump is reportedly considering visiting Israel sometime before next month's Republican National Convention, according to a new report.
Four sources tell New York Magazine Trump is looking at making the trip in order to garner support among conservative Jews.
The trip, according to the report, has not been finalized. But Trump's camp is reportedly considering using the time between the final primary election on June 7 and the RNC, which begins July 18, to pick up some more votes for November.
"This is a typical time frame when a general election candidate has an opportunity to flex his foreign policy muscles," a Trump staffer told New York Magazine.
Two weeks ago, it was reported that Las Vegas casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson will support Trump's trip to Israel.
Adelson, head of the Las Vegas Sands casino empire, is head of the pro-Israel Republican Jewish Coalition. He endorsed Trump in May, later saying that he was prepared to donate as much as $100 million to the developer's campaign.
He also is close the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump canceled a trip to Israel in December after Netanyahu attacked his plan to ban Muslims.
He has since, however, indicated that he would visit the Jewish state, should he win in November, The Guardian reports.
