There are things more important than winning elections.

The way I see it, we've got about 45-50% of American voters wedded to socialist ideals.  We've apparently got another 25% or so who are populists.  That leaves only 25-30% who are neither 1) socialists, nor 2) populists.  And a bunch of those are pretty weaselly pragmatists.  So, I think we're pretty clearly screwed long-term no matter who wins this election.  If the GOP is now going to be controlled or dominated by Trumpist populists, I have no interest in it.   I'd rather vote my conscience in a losing cause.

I know it wouldn't happen, but if Rand Paul -- who was not my choice in the primaries -- decided to run in Libertarian party, I'd happily cast a vote for him, even if it is nothing but symbolic.

Mitt and Kristol are talking 3rd Party. You should join them.

I never posted any polls showing Cruz the winner except in Wisconsin and the other states he won.

Any poll that allows respondents to opt-in are like the Drudge polls:  not scientific and thus worthless in polling.

RCP does not include AMP polls in its averages because of that.

That's all well and good - if the other side does the same thing.  What happens if one side votes their conscience  and the other side votes purely for party?  That's what we have now with Republicans and Democrats.
