May Day is when elderly Stalinists brandish velvet portraits of their favorite Socialist leader in the Red Square and when Seattle tenured anthropologists and anarchist punks show their great love for this country by violently hating it at the May Day Anti-capitalist March. So here we go again.

Two police officers were injured and several people arrested on Sunday when a group of May Day demonstrators turned unruly, throwing rocks and bottles and breaking windows, the Seattle police department said.

One officer suffered a laceration to the head or face as protesters hurled Molotov cocktails, the department said in a series of posts on Twitter.

Since this is Seattle, that means cops wrestling with trustafarians whose bikes cost more than their entire annual salary.

Anyone holding a Molotov earns a bullet IMO. That is a lethal weapon, plain and simple.

It woudl seem to me the city would have cameras all over the place as well as body cameras for these events to record possible criminal activity and help identify the criminals- those who threw the cocktails should be tried for attempted murder of a police officer- spend 20-30 years behind bars for their 'celebration'

Assuming Seattle isn't a "sanctuary city" for them

RICO would very neatly fit this sort of circumstance I think, and each individual molotov cocktail should count as a predicate act, meaning that one afternoon should be enough to satisfy the predicate act requirement.  The enterprise requirement is very broad, so it should be possible to scoop up many of them, even if they only tangentially know each other.

If professors/students are involved, the schools might be subject to being included in a RICO action as well, both criminal and civil.

Like everything else, a LEO will have to die before any changes are made in the way we deal with these scumbags.
