Nah, I'm down here in the heel of the hand in Southeastern Jackson County. I'm right on the borderline of moderate and no drought.

It rained pretty good overnight but this has been one of those years where the rain peters out 5 or 10 miles away and leaves us with humidity.

I've really enjoyed your photos over the years.  Pretty country.

I got a quick little rain yesterday that was completely unexpected and a slower rain for a while today was nice

Everything that was headed our way from Austin dried up before it ever got here.  We got a spritz last night that didn't even wet the sidewalk but that's been about it.

Missed out on the afternoon and evening rain here is Medina. There must be a invisible rain shield over us. There was some moisture on the gravel this morning but nothing beneficial. Radar shows very spotty rain. Continue to hope we will be blessed.

I had to go check - got 1.25"!

Seems to be mostly east of 35.  You've seen what's happening in Louisiana?  They're getting your rain.

Received 1.2" of very much needed rain here yesterday and looking like more is on the way.

I sure hope so as we desperately need it!

It would be great if we could have taken some of that rain out here. Very sad for those affected in LA.

Hey!!!  Try to get the rain to stop for at least one day.  We are trying to go to Schlitterbahn tomorrow and don't want to either freeze or drown....lol.

Funny.  Were someone to tell me I had to go to Schlitterbahn, I would be hoping for it to pour and/or freeze!

So here just north of Austin we had a thunderstorm late Saturday afternoon, then rain off and on Saturday night through Sunday. It rained fairly steadily overnight and this morning, so far. Depending on the location it looks like we've received between 2-3 inches of rain since Saturday, and it's supposed to continue most of the week.

The best part though is that the temperature isn't expected to get above 80 today...

Well so much for Schlitterbahn..........  Had to cancel the trip due to flooding on the Comal and it's too dang cold.  Guess we'll try it again in a week or two.  Here's hoping the rain moves up into West Texas.  I'd sure hate to lose my dog in a crack in the yard...lol.

We're starting to get our rain here in Michigan but its too late in the year to do most crops any real good.

It hasn't been a terrible year but it hasn't been great either.

At least the latest storms cooled it off here in Michigan, now that I got my AC fixed after 4 days last week when the temps were in the upper 80's and low 90's with 75 percent or more humidity.

Beautiful here in southern Michigan today. Low 70s and sunny all day. We had a small family reunion at McCourtie park in Somerset Center Michigan.

Tampa, Fla is getting whacked by a massive number of lightening strikes

The meter reached 275 charges per minute a bit back, in the last hour at least 1,000 have reached the ground.

Lots of pics of McCourtie Park online. Pretty amazing concrete works. Back before they made it a park it was a buffalo pasture for a while. I grew up not far away so I saw it often.

A few miles up 12 from there is Irish Hills, where there's all kinds of weird stuff on the road.  "See Mysterious Gravity Shack!!"  Right next to the Dinosaur forest....

Probably why I didn't see this one.

We got over 4.5" at the airport over night.  Any time there's even minor flooding the fire dept spends all day rescuing idiots that think their Celica can go through 4' of water.  Over 40 high water rescues so far today in San Antonio.
