@GtHawk
You have GOT to be Bushing me! The ONLY advantage the Hi-Power has over the 1911 series is 13 round magazines,and it needs them to try to keep up.
As a wise man once noted,"A 9mm is a 45ACP set on "stun".
Don't believe me? Track down somebody who has shot people with both guns and ask THEM which they prefer.
Pete all I said is that I prefer my Hi Power, I didn't say it was better and while the comparisons in the video just showed that with modern ammunition the 9mm could be just as deadly as the .45. I don't recall a discussion about pain levels

I have seen what a 1911 in the hands of a Marine expert could do, actually I could watch the round exit the barrel and hit the bullseye in almost the exact same spot with each trigger pull.
The best gun in any situation is the one you are most comfortable with, a .454 Casull or .500 Magnum would both be a lot more painful or lethal than a .45 but would you really be comfortable shooting it? I like 1911's I used to shoot my FIL's service gun a lot, it was fun, and if that was all I had it would be my go to gun.
