Actually, if we're tipping dominos here to place blame, IMO, it's the Feminism Movement, which led to the 2-INCOME family, which led to the breakdown of the family unit.
Maybe the Muslims cover up their women from eons of experience?

I'm not sure what came first, women getting jobs for a little extra income, or the inflation surge that made the two income family more of a necessity than an option. I do believe the two are related.
Did the advent of widespread no-fault divorce convince women they needed an income to fall back on if the split happened?
Did the decline in ability to scratch cook come from the microwave oven, the two-job household, or convenience food?
Unfortunately, a lot of women were conned out of the position they did like, that of doing their part by raising their children, managing the household, and providing for their family by making sure they had all they needed. Some cooked and cleaned, and I even remember my mom mending clothes and
making shirts (Her mom even darned socks, knitted and crocheted). Yes, some men's attitudes played right into that, and being a stay-at-home mom wasn't and isn't for everyone, but now the option is limited for those who would rather
