Carhartt joins the ranks of the usual suspects, like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Microsoft, all of whom have internal employee vaccine mandates. But others include McDonald's, Goldman-Sachs, Citigroup, Walmart, The Walt Disney Companies, United Airlines, Tyson Foods, Saks, Ford Motor Company, American Express, and many more.
General Electric recently made unexpected (and welcome!) news when it recognized the SCOTUS decision on the OSHA mandate by scrapping its company-wide vax policy. I expect that reaction will be rare.
The Biden/OSHA vax mandate was quite narrow in its scope, and it was overturned because the Supreme Court recognized that Congress had never authorized OSHA to do anything of the kind. But the court can only stop the federal government from mandating shots. State and local governments and private businesses are generally out of the court's reach.
