If those supporters are knuckle-dragging mouth-breathing nazis, I reject their votes.
Hear! Hear!
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36)
I just watched Mollie Hemingway make a Trumpian fool of herself on Special Report defending Trump's failure to immediately distance himself from white racists. For a minute, I thought she was going to start stamping her feet and sticking her fingers in her ears, saying, "La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la."The most disgusting thing to me is the lack of intellectual honesty on the right. We know it happens on the left, and we correctly call them on it. Somehow members of the right (which may or may not be synonymous with being a Trump supporter) seem unable to hold Trump to the same level of accountability they demand from Dems.
Until Trump came along, I was always able to shame my leftist friends and family by pointing out the company they had to throw in with to be a Dem. In spite of their being actually very decent people, they were often forced to defend some nasty leftist in order to justify the left's official talking point. Their intellectual honesty was a casualty of their allegiance to a party name. Unfortunately, now they will be able to do that to me -- but only to a limited degree since they know I didn't vote for Trump. Still, they have a point when the Mollie Hemingways and so many others defend the indefensible.
