Saw it today. Detail was better than I expected [got the Roman saddle right]. History a little less so [Had Legio X 'Fretensis' do the crucifixion]. Overall a good flick. Not quite CSI in sandals, but good. And faithful [as  I recollect] to the Gospels, so beilievers should be OK with it.

Thanks.  We rarely go to movies,  but it sounds interesting.  Just saw "Woodlawn" at church.

Michael Medved calls it three-fourths of a truly outstanding film. Some cheesy special effect and a campy ending seems to be  the only thing that kept him from giving it 4 stars.
