It's getting scary because if they don't stop this crap during these debates we are going to end up with a Pres Sanders or Clinton...
Did we learn anything new last night...NO..just another pissing contest imho
These candidates fall into these lib moderators trap during ea and every *debate*....
These candidates fall into the se lib moderators RNC's trap during ea and every *debate*....
Sorry to disagree Myst - but as it was told to us by several members here - these debates are SPONSORED by the RNC (they get to pass the tickets out to whoever they choose - right?). It's not like these moderators are complete unknowns to the RNC. It's not like we haven't repeatedly seen these attempts to get brawls going instead of substantive debate time and time again.
There can be no doubt that the audience was stacked against the two outsiders that have a chance of defeating the establishment's three candidates (who are tanking), Trump and Cruz (obviously, Carson isn't seen as a threat). The audience was loudly booing and disrupting the debate whenever something was said that went against the establishment agenda. Other than Kasich and Carson - everyone else lost their cool at one time or another. It wasn't one of the Republican's finest hours.
But, in the end - WHO was the architect of this mess?
I don't agree with Trump that Bush lied about the WMD. I don't agree that 9/11 was his fault - although I do think that the administration dropped the ball - but that was a consequence of Clinton's doing. Still, the sitting president is going to take the heat - unless you are Obama, and then you blame everyone else.
Trump said he was against going into Iraq at the time we did - I was all for it, because I had great respect for Bush at the time. In hindsight - my feelings have changed. It was a mistake, what did it accomplish? As far as Obama causing it to become a waste of our precious soldier's lives and futures - yes, that blood is on his hands. But my overall feeling about it is that GWB's legacy is Obama.
He failed to set up a continuing legacy to complete the mission in Iraq when he apparently took bad advice from Karl Rove - failing to defend the constant barrage of attacks from the left - who kept repeating them unfettered until they became the truth in many people's eyes. He failed to have a Vice President that could run for office to have a continuum of his policies - deciding to instead - put us back to zero in having to come up with a candidate on our own. We got John McCain - oh goody. I blame that on George Bush.
So, while I think that Trump allowed his buttons to get pushed at the debate - which was the intent of the GOP - and he said some things that I don't agree with - and that I wish he hadn't - I put the onus on the RNC. This is what THEY wanted. They will always work harder to satisfy their own greedy desires than they will work to defeat Democrats. Always.
That's why I have no faith that they will fight Obama on his Supreme Court choice. No faith.
When you see huge crowds of people supporting someone who says he will tear this cabal down, remember who brought us to this place.
The GOP. Tearing defeat from the jaws of victory over and over again.
