Rally over. This was not a point for point position speech -- Trump just firing up his troops, generating spirit.

Like I said I can see why people dislike Trump. He has a very odd speaking cadence. You have to listen for a while to get his message.

In fact, he did make a number of points. It's just difficult to stick with him. You had to ignore all the superlatives to hear the concrete points.

I think his most ardent supporters don't care that his speechifying is not Lincolnesque. They think his strength will be in the Oval Office working on the economy, foreign-policy, war on terror, immigration.

He's definitely not a typical politician.

My only concern is if Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee. I think in a head-to-head Trump would handily defeat any other Democrat.
