KENZO Mountain Print Fit and Flare Dress

As Michelle Obama jetted into Tokyo it was fitting that she wore this dress by Kenzo, a brand which has strong Japanese roots. The fashion house was after all, launched in 1970 by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, although the now Paris-based company is under the creative direction of Opening Ceremony's Carol Lim and Humberto Leon.

Michelle's mountain print fit and flare lime green dress carries all the hallmarks we adore Kenzo for. The bright color turns heads instantly whilst the full skirt creates the most flattering of silhouettes. The eye is drawn in even further to a slender waist thanks to the addition of a statement metal plate belt. Excellent work, Michelle!

If you love this spring 2014 dress as much as we do, and we think you do, then you're in luck for it is still available to buy with just the click of the button to Shopbop, right.

Or, you could take on a sunny disposition for less with our edit of figure-flattering dresses below from the likes of Michael Kors and Alice + Olivia. Style yours with black pumps like Michelle.

With cameras that shoot at least a half dozen frames per second, you'd think the friendly Associated Press would release more flattering facial expressions than the ones here.

She looks like she's constipated and hasn't had a BM in a week.

....and the color is chartreuse.

It is rare to find a pic of her smiling after all these years. You would think she would be in a major happy mode the way they are taking this country down don't you?

Those big flared skirts certainly make her already substantial hips appear even wider. That's a shame.

That's pretty much her everyday expression. You'd think all those vegetables would keep her goin', but I guess not.

Reminds me of a line from Grease (minus the 'beautiful' part)-
