Trash Television: “The Sex Factor” Reality Show To Have Aspiring Porn Stars Compete On Cam

By V. Saxena, February 7, 2015.

A new reality television show dubbed “The Sex Factor” seeks to have 16 godless heathens compete for a $1 million prize and a three-year porn contract, reports the Daily Mail:

The Sex Factor puts eight men and eight women who have no prior experience in a Las Vegas home together as they compete for stardom and a $1 million prize.

And among the contestants are Wall Street intern Paige Jennings, who goes by the name Veronica Vain, and recently made waves when she announces she was leaving the financial world to pursue her dreams of porn.

Duke University porn star Belle Knox had previously been named as the host, but has now been replaced by Asa Akira.

According to ABC News, the contestants will be made to “perform sexual acts in front of a panel of four porn judges, who decide who moves on to the next round.” It should be no biggie for them, given that they already engaged in sexual activity on camera for the audition.

And oh, these idiots’ parents apparently support them:

“I want to be a star,” [said Allie Knox]. “Lots of people have sex with strangers a lot, for nothing… the only difference is there’s a camera… I was kind of worried about what my mother would say and then she and I had a conversation and she just knows this is what I need to do to get to my next step and she supports me.”

Another contestant named Shawn, who uses the stage name Buddy Hollywood, also claims his mother is supportive.

Charming. For the record, if I told my mom that I planned to audition for trash television like this, she would likely snip off my balls with a pair of Meerut Scissors.

The good news is that a network has yet to pick up “The Sex Factor.” However, the show’s creator, Buddy Ruben, has “teased that he would ‘have a big announcement in the near future.'” (Daily Mail)

Question: As a proud prude who fervently believes in monogamy, I find this show to be highly objectionable – as well as a sign of Western civilization’s decline. Do you feel similarly? If not, why?

PS: Just for the record, neither I nor my beautiful Indian princess/partner watch pornography.
