Michael Moore Slams ‘American Sniper’ Chris Kyle As A ‘Coward’

Posted By Derek Hunter On 5:03 PM 01/18/2015 In | 6 Comments

Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore is not a fan of “American Sniper.”

The biopic of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle directed by Clint Eastwood and staring Bradley Cooper is setting box office records, and the “Sicko” director is not too happy about that.

Taking to his Twitter account, Moore wrote, “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse.”

Kyle, the most lethal sniper in military history, saved countless lives of American soldiers in his four tours of duty in Iraq. He was killed in February 2013 by a fellow soldier he was trying to help who was suffering from severe post-traumatic stress.

Moore is a well-known Hollywood progressive who advocates for socialism and “economic justice.” Moore has a history of attacking the military, corporations and the wealthy while embracing totalitarian regimes around the world, including Cuba. While he’s never been in the military, he and his company have made tens of millions of dollars through his films.

His recent divorce exposed his lavish lifestyle, including a huge mansion in Traverse City, Mich., which exposed him to charges of hypocrisy.

Moore came to fame and fortune for his 1989 movie “Roger & Me,” in which he pursued General Motors CEO Roger Smith for an interview about GM’s impact on Flint, Mich. In the movie, Moore speaks with Smith at a shareholder’s meeting. However, in reality, Moore actually had two sit-down interviews with Smith but decided not to use it, giving the impression that Smith and GM were running from Moore’s team.

Seth Rogen: ‘American Sniper’ Like Fake Nazi Propaganda Film

Posted By Derek Hunter On 8:53 PM 01/18/2015 In | 4 Comments

Last month comedian Seth Rogen was the cause célèbre of Hollywood when terroristic threats caused Sony Pictures to cancel the release of his latest movie “The Interview.” Americans from across the political spectrum spoke out in favor of Rogen’s right to make any movie he wanted, and when it was released online, Americans supported the movie. Many may now regret that purchase.

Rogen, like all Americans, was born with the right to say anything he wants, no matter how offensive. That’s why he was able to make a movie in which he kills the leader of North Korea. But that right is always under threat, to varying degrees, by outside forces.

North Korea allegedly hacked Sony’s computer systems, but they didn’t launch any military attacks against the United States because they knew US military would respond with overwhelming force. While we are born with rights, the military defends them from external threats, which are very real.

That protection and the respect for it hasn’t stopped Rogen, a Canadian by birth but married to an American, from seizing an opportunity to smear the life story of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.

“American Sniper,” based on the memoir of Kyle who was killed by a soldier suffering post traumatic stress, has been a huge box office hit, surprising many on Hollywood.

Hollywood is overwhelmingly left-wing, and has released a string of anti-war and anti-military movies that have been box office flops. In that world “American Sniper” is an anomaly. It presents Kyle’s life without making judgment, warts and all. Audiences have been flocking to see the story of a man considered a genuine hero by most.

In addition to Michael Moore, who called Kyle a “coward,” Rogen appears singularly unimpressed by the film or the story of the late Chris Kyle.

It’s unclear if Rogen has actually seen “American Sniper,” but his tweet to his 2.51 million followers about it makes clear he’s not a fan of the concept.

The movie to which Rogen referred is the fake “Nation’s Pride,” the Nazi propaganda movie that draws Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, and other Nazi high command leaders to the theater where they are slaughtered in Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece.

Comparing a biographic film of an American hero who not only saved the lives of countless American soldiers but also died trying to help another to Nazi propaganda might not be the best way to sell DVD copies of “The Interview.” The release date of which Rogen told his followers is fast approaching.

The Blu-Ray is called the “Freedom Edition.” Rogen’s remarks make you wonder who he thinks protects that freedom…

Michael Moore Calls Kyle a Coward, but had Nine Bodyguards

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On January 18, 2015 @ 10:51 pm In The Point | 15 Comments

To be fair to Moore, he does have a lot of body to guard.

Michael Moore, a lefty troll most people forgot even existed, made headlines for calling Chris Kyle a coward. Moore however is a profile in courage. After making the anti-American movie Fahrenheit 9/11 for which he was reviled by everyone from author Ray Bradbury on down, he claimed to have nine bodyguards.

In one of his books, he described the men as ex-Navy SEALS.

It’s not clear how many bodyguards he has now, but in 2005, one of his bodyguards was arrested for having an unlicensed gun.In 2011, at an Occupy rally, he was still being accompanied by two bodyguards despite having fallen into obscurity.

Worse still, Moore apparently began making up attacks against him to justify the bodyguards.

According to Mr. Moore:

“In Nashville, a man with a knife leapt up on the stage and started coming toward me. The Seal grabbed him from behind by his belt loop and collar and slung him off the front of the stage to the cement floor below. Someone had to mop up the blood after the Seals took him away.”

However, Officer Don Aaron of Nashville Police Public Affairs Department said there is no record of such an incident involving Mr. Moore occurring in the area.

The filmmaker describes how in Fort Lauderdale, a man “in a nice suit” saw him on the sidewalk and “went crazy.”

Again Mr. Moore was saved because of the heroics of his ex-Navy Seal bodyguards:

“[The man] took the lid off his hot, scalding coffee and threw it at my face. The Seal saw this happening but did not have the extra half-second needed to grab the guy, so he put his own face in front of mine and took the hit.”
The alleged assault was the most serious of them all. According to Mr. Moore, on this occasion the Seal needed medical treatment.

“The coffee burned his face so badly, we had to take him to the hospital (he had second-degree burns) – but not before the Seal took the man face down to the pavement, placing his knee painfully in the man’s back, and putting him in cuffs,” the book states.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police Department there are no police records of this incident ever happening.

One Fort Lauderdale detective added that Mr. Moore’s description of the incident read like “a fantasy novel.”

Moore has gone around inventing attacks against him while calling Kyle a coward.

Really, Mike? Cowardly? When's the last time you went one on one with Ahab? And for the record, my Uncle Al, USMC, was killed on Guam in 1944, by a sniper. And, No, I don't consider the man a coward. Just, hopefully, a dead sniper in the immediate aftermath.
