Rams show support for Ferguson with “hands up, don’t shoot” entrance
Posted 1:50 pm, November 30, 2014, by Joe Millitzer, Updated at 03:37pm, November 30, 2014

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The St. Louis Rams took the field at the Edward Jones Dome in a show of support for the Ferguson protesters. Rams players including Stedman Bailey, Jared Cook, Chris Givens and receivers Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt took to the field with their hands up. The “hands up, don’t shoot” sign has been a hallmark of protesters since the August 9th shooting.

The St. Louis Rams are playing the Oakland Raiders. The hometown team won the game 52-0. The gesture made another appearance after a touchdown in the first quarter.

Ferguson protesters who have gathered at Kiener Plaza Sunday afternoon are marching to  the Edward Jones Dome.

They're more likely to be imitating Michael Brown when they're head tackling...........

Well, it won't matter much anyway. If the reports are accurate, they're probably headed for L.A. after the season's over, and whatever hope there was of the Rams staying, Ferguson probably put a huge dent in them.

I have given up all hope for the return of normalcy in America.

What a disgusting display.  If I were the owner of the Rams, I'd immediately release every one of players that participated.

The Grand Jury testimony is public.  The hands up, don't shoot fiasco was built on a lie sanctioned by Obama and the criminal mainstream media complex.

....demanding that suddenly police departments be retrained in how they handle the black citizen is total bullshit.

Indeed. Well, LA or San Antonio are the only two real options right now, and the Raiders have already pegged San Antonio.

But yeah, basically what happened is that the Rams have been trying to get a new stadium so they've been playing the corporate welfare game, trying to get the city of St. Louis to build them a new one even though their current one is only 20 years old (in the team's defense, the dome is pretty lousily designed and probably is the darkest dome in the NFL). The city has said “no way” to that idea, and so the Rams no longer have to honor their lease. They can stay in St. Louis or they can head to Los Angeles, where there are at least two groups looking to build stadiums, and the Rams' owner has his own plot of land in California where his wife (an heiress to the Wal-Mart fortune) couldn't build a Wal-Mart and is big enough to build a new stadium.

Yes, and that seems to be even more of a done deal than any Rams-to-LA move. The league might be wary of moving the Rams to LA, but getting the Raiders out of their decrepit stadium is a top priority at this point—and by going to Texas and leaving LA open, the other teams can continue playing the corporate welfare game, which means cheaper stadiums and more profits for the NFL.

This kind of nonsense is why I have become less and less interested in college and pro sports, they have now turned themselves into political billboards.  I don't want to see a bunch of dumbass football players who can't even spell Michael Brown become politically active at a game. :3:
