Terrifying Report! Obama Plans to Let Ebola-Infected into US for Treatment

Judicial Watch may have just won the award for most terrifying story of the day. They are reporting that President Obama and his administration are working on a plan to allow Ebola-infected foreigners into the United States in an effort to get them treatment. This move would put thousands of Americans at risk and exponentially increase the danger of an Ebola outbreak here at home.

Here’s what Judicial Watch is saying…

Judicial Watch has learned that the Obama administration is actively formulating plans to admit Ebola-infected non-U.S. citizens into the United States for treatment.  Specifically, the goal of the administration is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis.

It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients.  The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

One source tells us that the Obama administration is keeping this plan secret from Congress. The source is concerned that the proposal is illegal; endangers the public health and welfare; and should require the approval of Congress.

ebola-copyWhat may be most upsetting about this proposal is that it comes on the heels of the news that American soldiers are being sent to combat this scourge with minimal training and limited resources.

U.S. soldiers are being flown to West Africa to combat Ebola following just four hours of hazmat training, it was today claimed.

The serviceman at Fort Campbell and Fort Bragg are given swift instructions on how to protect themselves against the deadly virus by Army medical teams before deployment.

These include how to put on, remove and decontaminate protective equipment, as well as a practical test that aims to ensure soldiers understand the procedures.

I don’t know why they are being trained how to “put on, remove and decontaminate protective equipment” since our soldiers won’t even have Hazmat suits!

Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division deployed to Ebola hotspots in West Africa to battle the deadly disease will not receive full protective Hazmat suits for their mission.

Instead, the troops will be given only masks and gloves to protect them from the potentially fatal virus, General David Rodriguez said at a Pentagon briefing.

Seeing how it is a very likely possibility that some of our soldiers will become infected with Ebola – it’d be nice to know that the government and military are at least putting some thought into how they’ll care for these soldiers… but that’d be too much to ask.

“If, God forbid, one of these soldiers, sailors, airmen, or marine contracted this disease, as I mentioned, they would be stabilized, they would be quarantined, we would go through the appropriate protocols,” Maj. Gen. Darryl Williams, commander of U.S. Army Africa, said on October 16 while briefing reporters in the Pentagon by telephone from Liberia. “People would be attending to them in the appropriate PPE [personal protective equipment]."

"As of today, no one has shown those symptoms. ... I’ve been here 30 days as of today,” he added. "And so they would be quarantined and then we would synchronize and work those actions so they would go back to the appropriate medical facility.”

What medical facilities? They haven’t decided yet. So, if you are a soldier in West Africa who becomes infected with Ebola, you should expect to be stuck in Liberia for a while being terrified about what the virus is doing to your body. Hopefully, the government will get its stuff in order on this quickly.

But in the meantime, you should rest comfortably knowing that the Obama administration is working hard to make sure that Ebola infected foreigners can get to America for treatment… even if our soldiers are stuck in Liberia.
