EV's are an issue because Nanny Government is taking away the ability of consumers to choose amongst ICE, Hybrid, and EV vehicles.
I live in the Northeast. We have snow, ice, hills, traffic congestion, and blackouts. I need the ability to choose an ICE or Hybrid vehicle to survive Winter.
The availability of ICE and Hybrid vehicles is a safety issue. What about those people who have to mass evacuate a hurricane zone? They'll be stuck in traffic for hours; they won't have time nor opportunity to recharge an EV, if electricity is available.
The electric grid has neither the capacity, reliability, and resilience to support an all-electric economy.
I don't like Nanny Government making decisions for me.
