Indeed. Russia is having to gut defenses in other areas to sustain their invasion and occupation of Ukrainian territory. That Russia is gutting defenses around Finland is due to two factors: ease of movement, because Ukraine is relatively close to Finland; Russia knows that NATO member Finland, and therefore NATO, is not a threat to invade Russia.
Putin's blather about NATO being a threat and "needing" a "buffer zone" is
nothing but a thin smokescreen for his efforts to rebuild Stalin's empire.
