Love to bring this up and I like to ask......

How many out there believe FDR knew it was coming?
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

I don't know what intelligence was like in the 40s. It could well be that he had a report that an attack was imminent.
he may have had numerous threats and thought...sure, right...Pearl Harbor will be attacked.  *****rollingeyes***** Just for the record, I feel much the same way about 9/11.

I really believe that we in this country, including those in leadership roles, think we are immune since it is a rare occurrence.

That being said, weren't the planes moved from the Philippines?  Maybe he thought that was the area of greatest threat.  It would make sense that that area was far more vulnerable.

Disclaimer: I am not a fan of FDR.

Not sure if he knew it was coming or was afraid it would...
Given that nearly the entire world was already burning (Europe and Asia) and congress would not support any preparations for war I am sure an attack of some sort was expected given or weak military position.
After the attack and the country mobilized, the troops trained with wooden mock ups of rifles...

Politicians who equate 12/07/41 with 01/06/21 have clearly forgotten.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.
