To SAVE a nation — or not
The SAVE Act requiring voters to present identification to ascertain their right to vote, must be passed in Congress.

Nations, like people, typically face a handful of inflection points in their lives. Pivot points. Turning points. A time when it is realized, perhaps even belatedly, that what transpires now will echo through time and possibly change things forever. That what we choose to do now is of great — perhaps existential -- importance.
The Boston Tea Party. The Declaration of Independence. The Civil War. World Wars. To drop “the bomb” or not to drop the bomb. The 1960s. The 1980 presidential election.
We are at another inflection point now. Today. One that we can’t deny, and ignore only at our great peril. And this inflection point is perhaps more multifaceted than any that has come before.
I say that because we, as a nation, have to simultaneously decide several overarching issues.
