US Navy boosts EA-18G aircraft with next-gen jammers to disable enemy radars mid-air
 
Raytheon has secured a substantial $590 million follow-on production contract from the US Navy for its cutting-edge Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) system.

The NGJ-MB program, developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), represents a significant advancement in electronic warfare technology.
 
This contract encompasses the delivery of complete chipsets, support equipment, spare parts, and essential engineering support.

Next-gen jammers
“NGJ-MB is a groundbreaking offensive electronic attack system that equips our Navy warfighters with vital combat capabilities,” said Barbara Borgonovi, president of Naval Power at Raytheon.

“We are collaborating closely with the US Navy to ensure the NGJ-MB is delivered swiftly, providing the advanced electronic warfare solutions they require.”

It must be pretty busy in the cockpit these days where the pilot has to be a computer whiz who happens to be able to fly a plane and doesn't have time to make a mistake.  The pilots must be awfully tired at the end of the day. 999yawn
