Me too!  A huge Canon A-1 fan.  Then the shutter locked up and it wasn't worth the cost to have it repaired.

Then...life and career got in the way.  Before you knew it I was in my 60's.

Now at 78 next month, I'm ready to pick up the camera again.

The great thing about zoom lenses is you can 'sneak' up on somebody's face when they're not aware of you and catch them in a TRUE natural state.

Most people "freeze up" when you have to use a 50m lens in their proximity.  It affects everything.

Wow!  Talk about senior moments...

Getting those lenses out of my bedroom closet for you, I discovered that I had replaced my once favorite Canon A1 with a Canon Rebel XT digital...whose shutter stopped working right after the warranty expiration!

I'm throwing that in for you too.  Maybe you have a source of your own who can 'Lazarus' it.

Will PM you when I've shipped it all UPS to you   :beer:

PS:  Camera was NEVER dropped or jostled. Lenses have clear protective...what's the word??..."skylight" filters on them too!

I have some vintage Konica SLR cameras and gear from the late 70’s. A dear friend and I got into photography for a bit and we liked the Konicas. I’m sure they are here after living in 5 states.

If you want a real antique, I have a Mamiya MSX 1000 around here somewhere. I bought it in 1967 while I was in Vietnam.
