  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion
The catch is knowing who is sick.
Well, usually the sickest people I have known were all democrats, but somehow I don't think that's the kind of sick you were thinking of :pondering:

The luxury of apocalypticism
The elites want us to panic about Covid-19 – we must absolutely refuse to do so.

Excellent article.

Keep in mind that two generations have been fed the intellectual pablum of the flesh-eating zombie Apocalypse, and frankly, there are relatively few visions of the future which are not abjectly dystopian, be those in movies or print. (not to mention the daily drumming of the panic mongering media).

People suckled on that teat are just waiting for the breakdown so they can feel vindicated in feeling it was coming.

While COVID-19 has shown us that we can make great strides against a novel disease in relatively little time (if we just get government out of the way), it has also shown us that the herd is twitchy, ready to stampede.
That, to me is the greatest cause for concern at present.

After debunking the image of obviously European military trucks lined up in Lombardy which had been repurposed (the image, not the trucks) to be presented as evidence of Martial Law (here in the US), along with a facebooked video showing incomplete humvees being transported by rail (evidence of Martial law in Chicago, supposedly, like the hood rats on the south side would play 'dat), empty shelves in the stores, and people with that look (you know the look I mean) in their eyes, well I'm just sick and tired of panic.
The nearest confirmed case is still 150 miles away.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Irrelevant response (and wrong and I can prove it but That's a sidetrack) I will repeat, if there is nothing to this, why did conservatives like Ted Cruz self-quarantine? Why is almost every country taking the same measures?

Ok, I think I have made the point made dozens of times here.  End of, I do not need another deflection or even smear. Odd that.
I'll take a shot at that question.

Simple. If he failed to, every person he came in contact with would be one who could claim he gave it to them, whether he did or not. If even one of  them died, even if their heart was 90% scar tissue, they were running on half a lung, and had a 100 dollar a day insulin habit, that death would be blamed on Cruz.

He, once exposure is known, is behind a political 8-ball, and it is the only choice left open to him until the quarantine period is off. Might as well bite the bullet and get it over with.

@Smokin Joe

Also, let's not forget that anyone who is already dealing with a potential deadly disease damn sure can't afford to take a chance on coming into contact with someone who is infected with a DIFFERENT contagious deadly disease.

If nothing else, sanity and selfish self-interest demands you quarantine yourself.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!

I suggest a money laundering business!

Anyone see cashless society coming?  The mark?
It has been coming, and pushed for at almost every level. How else can our transactions be tracked? Marks to buy and sell next....

Imagine all the people that those checkers check out every single day at the grocery store.  And the health workers.  Every single grocery store is hiring right now.
Hiring stockers, especially...
