The internet has spoken.

Michigan is home to some of the most beautiful places in America. At least according to a recent survey in which social news and entertainment website BuzzFeed asked its users about their favorite places in America.

Pentwater, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Marquette are all included in the list titled "The 38 Most Beautiful Places in the World."

The West Michigan tourism community of Pentwater is the highest rated Michigan locale on the list at No. 13.

I personally prefer Tahquamenon but these are nice.

I've been to and through Marquette many times and I've never thought of it as especially beautiful.  I've never been to Pentwater or the Sleeping Bear dunes. I have driven past the dunes along US 2 heading west from St. Ignace, and those were pretty neat. But for sheer beauty, I would suggest the drive along US 41 going up to Copper Harbor in the Fall; the leaves made me think of Tolkien's description of the mallorn trees in Lothlorien. 94 between Munising and Manistique is a nice drive. Kitch-iti-kipi spring is a cool thing to check out as well.

My advice to visitors (or residents) of California is to see the "Big Sur" coast.

If you have, you know what I mean. If you haven't keep it in mind, when planning trips and vacations.

Good. Amerika can move to Michigan.

The Oregon coast is nice. But when you live in Idaho it doesn't take much to impress.

The last time we were over there (2015) the 101 was a nightmare. Lotta people.

And when you get to Munising you can take the tour of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Grand Marais Minnesota is on the list but Grand Marais Michigan is just as good with things like Grand Sable lake, dunes, falls etc nearby.

Parts of Northern Michigan is indeed beautiful...however, Detroit and the surrounding metropolitan area is a hell hole and I would never move back.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
