VICTOR JOECKS: Biden immigration ad makes the case for Trump

By Victor Joecks Las Vegas Review-Journal
May 11, 2024 - 9:00 pm

President Joe Biden’s recent immigration ad should be considered an in-kind contribution to Donald Trump’s campaign.

The ad begins with a clip of then-President Donald Trump detailing his immigration policies. “We did family separation. A lot of people didn’t come,” Trump said. The ad then cuts to a different clip of Trump. He said, “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

The ad mixes in audio and a picture of children crying. But mostly the focus is on Trump. “They’re destroying our country. They’re destroying the guts of our country,” Trump said in another clip.

Biden’s ad then attacks Trump for separating illegal immigrant children from their parents. The ad shifts back to a clip of Trump promising to “begin the largest deportation operation in American history.”

Perhaps Biden hasn’t checked the polls recently. The policies for which he’s attacking Trump are popular with the American people. In a recent ABC News/Ipsos poll, respondents gave Trump a 17-point edge on immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border. It was his best issue. It’s top of mind for voters. Gallup found immigration has been the public’s most important issue for three consecutive months.

It’s not hard to see why voters are upset about Biden’s handling of the issue. For one, the southern border is wide open. More than 7 million people have crossed illegally under Biden’s watch. On principle, this doesn’t sit well with most people.

Florida sheriff blamed Biden's government for 'victimizing' Americans after illegal immigrant charged with sexually assaulting child
PAUL SACCA
MAY 11, 2024

"Here's a Guatemalan, who came into the country illegally."
AFlorida sheriff blamed the Biden administration for "victimizing" Americans after an illegal immigrant was charged with sexually assaulting a child.

Earlier this month, 20-year-old Marvin Dionel Perez Lopez was reportedly arrested on charges of kidnapping to sexually assault a minor, sexual assault of a victim under 12 years old, and resisting an officer without violence. He was being held in the Palm Beach County jail without bond.

The illegal immigrant is accused of snatching an 11-year-old girl off the streets of Lake Worth, Florida. Lopez allegedly grabbed the young girl by the hand and forced her into his van. He then is accused of sexually assaulting the minor.

Lopez is reportedly a Guatemalan national who illegally crossed into the United States in January. He was allegedly apprehended by Border Patrol, but then released into the country with a court date of 2027.

MIGRANT CRIME ROUND-UP: Pedophiles and Baby Killers.

Donald Trump describes migrant crime as a “new category of crime” that is “going to be worse than any other form of crime.” A National Pulse review of the past week finds illegal aliens have indeed been involved in the worst offenses on the books multiple times.

BABY BEATEN TO DEATH.
Twenty-six-year-old Melvin Jesus Aquino Enriquez has been arrested in Montgomery County, Texas, accused of inflicting a brutal month on a three-month-old baby. The infant was admitted to hospital but later died.

As of the time of publication, the authorities have released little information on Enriquez. His nationality and manner of entry have not been disclosed, and nor has his connection, if any, to the murdered child. He faces separate charges for strangling the baby’s mother, however.

It's No Secret Why Some Dems Are Pushing for Their Convention to Be 'Semi-Online'
Matt Vespa
4–5 minutes

The Democratic National Convention this summer is facing a massive obstacle: how to neutralize the hordes of pro-Hamas protesters who will no doubt try to create mayhem in and around the venue. Nothing would be more successful for this crowd than to heckle the party from the convention floor, a media image that would be disastrous for Democrats entering the waning days of the 2024 cycle. Politico had a piece about what Democrats are trying to do to mitigate these situations while acknowledging that one peep of trouble inside could be the ballgame. They’re also facing another issue: a mayor that’s very much on the side of the pro-Hamas activists.

It's a repeat of history of sorts. The convention will be in Chicago, where in 1968, the mayhem from anti-Vietnam War protesters provided an image of chaos and disorder that helped Richard Nixon secure the presidency. It’s not 1968, though Politico adds the joke Democrats are saying that the mayor is on the protesters' side this time. Still, the axiom remains true now: the mayor controls the streets, but what happens inside reflects the party. Reportedly, Democrats will also set up a war room to provide rapid response to any shenanigans. They’re also considering making the convention a semi-virtual event (via Politico):

“Real Time” host Bill Maher appeared to concede that Democrat-led lawfare against former President Donald Trump is backfiring as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s “hush money” case continues to stall. Maher lamented how Democrats “blew it at every turn” when it comes to the Trump criminal trials, adding that Stormy Daniels was a “horrible witness.”

“I mean the Democrats have had four years to put Trump on trial and it is all just going away. They blew it at every,” Maher said. He then pointed to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ RICO case against Trump and his allies, which has been stalling for weeks due to misconduct in the DA’s office.

“Now she’s the prosecutor, she’s having an affair with the guy she hired. I mean it’s not really relevant to the case, but they left an opening. And now that one’s going to be delayed,” Maher continued. “So it’s Stormy or bust.”

National Democrats Looking to Sideline Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson in Planning For the Convention
Rick Moran | 8:11 AM on May 11, 2024

National Democrats are deep into the planning for the convention in Chicago to be held in August.

Biden's planning team is looking wistfully at the 2020 COVID convention when most events were virtual and the chances for disruption were greatly reduced. They are looking for ways to duplicate some of those events, like the pre-recorded roll call vote where individuals representing state delegations got creative and made their video vote an advertisement for their state.

One big change being considered is a move to an alternate convention site for the actual nomination. Since Biden is having trouble getting on the ballot in Ohio because the convention occurs after the deadline to file in the Buckeye State, the Biden team is being forced to look at confirming Biden's nomination at a "mini-convention" that would be held in McCormick Place prior to the main event at the United Center. Holding other housekeeping events at the alternate site would also make it harder for protesters to mass and cause trouble.

The Democrats can tightly control security at McCormick Place, preventing most floor disturbances.

“If there is one peep in that hall, the networks will be all over it,” a Biden convention planner said referring to the challenges of holding a national convention at the United Center.

BOMBSHELL: Biden Administration Has Been Hiding Intel on Location of Hamas Leaders in Betrayal of Israel
Bonchie
~3 minutes

Joe Biden has been hiding intelligence on the whereabouts of Hamas leaders and their command tunnels, depriving Israel of vital information that could lead to an end to the war. That revelation came in a report on Saturday and was framed as the administration offering that information now if the ongoing operation in Rafah is canceled.

The story first broke in The Washington Post, with the paper describing the offer as follows.

The Biden administration, working urgently to stave off a full-scale Israeli invasion of Rafah, is offering Israel valuable assistance if it holds back, including sensitive intelligence to help the Israeli military pinpoint the location of Hamas leaders and find the group’s hidden tunnels, according to four people familiar with the U.S. offers.

There's no other way to read this except that the Biden administration has been protecting Hamas. If intelligence exists that can help "pinpoint the location of Hamas leaders," it should have been given to Israel the moment it was produced. The same goes for any information about the terror tunnels.

Why was that information held back from Israel? Was the White House trying to appease Iran by ensuring Hamas' survival? Or was Biden concerned about the domestic backlash from the far left if he had a hand in eliminating Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar?

The essentials of a new Trump administration
By Richard Berkowitz

Should Biden be re-elected, which I seriously doubt, then America will become a historical asterisk.

If Trump is re-elected, and has the voting plurality to accomplish his goals, what should we expect?

In no particularly strict order, I submit the following:

1) He will address border issues and probably complete the wall, plugging it where it has been destroyed or penetrated.

2) He will make sure border staffing is adequate.

3) I suspect he will begin a series of returning illegal aliens back to their countries of origin.

4) After addressing border issues, Trump should turn his attention to those universities and colleges who have violated America’s civil rights laws and threaten to take away their government funding while calling for the resignation of their presidents, administrators and board members.
