Arrest made in connection with pipe bombs
By Morgan Gstalter - 10/26/18 11:04 AM EDT
Federal authorities have arrested a man in Florida in connection with the series of suspected explosive packages mailed to prominent Democrats this week.
Sarah Isgur Flores, a spokesperson with the Justice Department, confirmed on Twitter that one person is in custody.
CNN first reported that law enforcement sources confirmed the arrest on Friday morning.
Two more suspicious packages were found Friday, one addressed to Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) in Florida and another discovered in New York addressed to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
Potential pipe bombs and suspicious packages were sent to prominent Democrats, Trump critics and the CNN offices in New York this week.

It's interesting they covered the van with tarp before hauling it off, to obscure all the stickers. It certainly was covered with stickers.

Based on what? I don't know anyone who gives a shit about this. No one died and nothing real happened here.

They will usually get good leads I would think if one sends these packages from a post office. Cameras or his previous record probably came up.
There are not that many stand-alone mail boxes around anymore though there are some. That is where one should send stuff like this.

There are a whole bunch of kooks and foreign nationals in Miami.
Local news in NYC reports a uniformed NYPD officer in the crowd at the scene. I didn’t hear if that’s confirmed. That raises suspicions that the suspect may have visited or be from New York.
Also a possible connection was reported this morning that a look alike bomb was removed from a location in midtown. However authorities stress the likelihood of a copycat device.

Actually, I have experience with the stickers, decals, that's why it is a bit strange for him to have these elaborate stickers. Idiots making bigger idiots of themselves. The guy registered R in March 2016. Trump didn’t secure the nomination until July. Even then, the Dems considered him a laughing stock, with no chance of winning. So, he’s been their plant and pawn since then? Re-*******-diculous and these people are making bigger fools of themselves than the Q crowd.

He seems to have received special treatment during the course of his felonies (grand theft). I'm wondering if he was made a real special "deal" by the corrupt Florida PTBs.....? Which makes me also wonder if, instead of getting 100 years for this latest stunt of his, he may get a much lighter sentence (as promised?). Hmmm....

Do you remember Operation Chaos?
Flashback: in 2008, Rush Limbaugh purposely directed his listeners to vote in primaries for the candidate that would prolong the Democratic primary process the longest (i.e., Hillary Clinton).
The notion of flipping one's party registration days before a primary to elect the most hated candidate is nothing new. In non-political use, Howard Stern used to do this all the time with American Idol.

Or, for another example, the Laurocheans. They planted Obama with Hitler mustache posters in Tea Party rallies.

Exactly. DemocRats have been "crossing over" and voting for GOP primary candidates for decades. Nothing new at all. They figure picking the least likely candidate to beat their Demrat candidate will ensure a win in the general election.
-
It sounds like the media have already convicted this guy. You would think they had learned their lesson after the Richard Jewell fiasco.

Yeah and I also remember that Obama won on delegates, despite Hillary getting more votes. Obama ended up being elected twice, to the detriment of this nation and that’s probably due, in part, to that idiotic stunt. So is Rush a plant or just really stupid? Also, speaking of agitators inside of demonstrations, check out the oft quoted here Posobiec. He planted ‘Rape Melania’ signs among Dems during 2016, denied it, and got caught lying through text messages.

Folks would be best advised to face reality. It's more than likely he's exactly what he appears to be - a right wing nut job who feeds on right wing rhetoric. The left's rhetoric is no less irresponsible, and may even be worse. But the reality is that both sides are treating this election as an exercise in scorched earth warfare. Most of us are sane, but the nutjobs are out in force, too, assaulting Republicans and sending hoax bombs to Democrats.
Trump, to his credit, has called on folks to cool down, and Schumer and the other usual suspects, to their shame, have refused that outstretched hand and want to ratchet up the rhetoric that motivates violence from both sides.
This election can't come soon enough.

Easily "wound up," by extreme politial rhetoric.
Lacks the common sense to NOT do the stupid thing he did do.
And who else, thinks "deep state" players know of a few of these types, that could be activated, "woundup," if needed?

If pipe bomber Cesar Sayoc has felony convictions and felons can't vote in Florida, why is he registered as a Republican?
It’s hardly a mystery to find felony charges don’t always equal felony convictions.
Federal prosecutors withheld adjudication for the 1991 and 2013 felonies, which meant they did not go onto his record.
He also faced a drug court case in 2004 related to several felony charges for possession of a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid.
Sayoc faced charges of misdemeanor theft of less than $300 in 2014, 11 traffic violation charges and five parking violation offenses over several years.
There was also a home foreclosure case against him in 2009. Sayoc filed for bankruptcy in 2012, a court filing shows. A handwritten note by Sayoc read: “Lives w/mom,†and “Has no furniture.â€
Sayoc was also charged with domestic violence against his mother Viola Alitieri in 1994 and in 2002, he was charged with making a bomb threat in Miami-Dade County where he was sentenced to one year of probation. That charge was also withheld by prosecutors as a felony, so following completion of probation in 2003, it was dismissed.

If his felony wasn't in FL, he regains his voting rights once they are restored in the state where the crime took place.

Elaborate stickers, I mean, where are those for sale? Crosshairs on Michael Moore, Sibelius(?), the Communist guy who worked for Obama and now on CNN, I can't even remember his name.
@TomSea
Having done so for a number of years, put "Republican campaign stickers" in internet search and they will come up.
Also, when we went to our Republican State Convention, they were everywhere for sale and for free. We had a number of our county delegates get as many free ones as they could carry, to put in our Republican Office to give them away for free.
-
Another thing:
Look at the profile of who the bomber chose to target.
Cesar Sayoc joined the GOP during the 2016 primary, presumably to vote for Trump. Who was Donald Trump criticizing then? Just about anyone and everyone in the Republican Party, including conservatives and the establishment moderates.
And yet, not a single target was a Republican. Not Paul Ryan. Not "Lyin' Ted" Cruz. Not John Kasich. Not even Joe Scarborough or Bill Kristol. The person behind this, we are supposed to believe, is aware enough of political intrigue to send a device to Tom Steyer but none to any Trump opponent in the GOP?
These people want me to believe that Cesar Sayoc, a man who has no affiliation with the Republican Party outside of Donald Trump, is going to send non-functional IED's only to Democrats, two weeks before an election in which the Democrats, once favored heavily, are losing ground and needed an October surprise to make their opponent look bad. I am supposed to believe that he knows enough about politics to target Steyer while at the same time be oblivious to how this would play right into their hands.
Cesar Sayoc was not the mastermind behind this.

Of course not. He is obviously not bright enough to be behind it. It's just another deep state leftist attempt to sway the election. Like I said previously.... they're just that desperate... so expect them to stoop to ANY thing. They always will.

@TomSea
Cite examples, anyone can say they can get them online, show the finished product. Campaign headquarters naturally, gives away free stickers.

Ya, I dropped it off in a town that was so small
you could throw a rock from end to end.
just a nutty right wing retard

And it's a shame I won't be passing that way again.
'Cause if it were a real IED
I'll end up an amputee
might blow up take away my hand
no more stickers on my Chevy van
And that's not all right with me

I can't think of any reputable company that would allow something like putting a politician in crosshairs through quality control and to the consumer. He would have likely had to import these from overseas.

Oh well, the guy who shot Scalise did worse than this imho......

That's almost the same as bombs. 888high58888

He probably had access to a large format printer and made them himself. Maybe one of his acquaintances owned a print shop. Not that big of a problem if one is motivated.

Well since you are posting from the home of Progressive politics, I'm sure you are wall to wall with this non event. Here in the real world people are pissed about the criminals about to cross out Southern Border.

Actually, I have experience with the stickers, decals, that's why it is a bit strange for him to have these elaborate stickers. You do have to go through quite a bit of trouble to get ones as we see, specially made, if they are specially made. I've worked on vintage bikes where one has to track down and find replacing stickers and decals, so I know, it's a bit of trouble to get these made.
Maybe we will hear from who sold him these.

I mostly agree, but I have not seen an outstretched hand. I could just sample a few Presedential twitter posts from the last week to see the President of the United States say something condemning, contemptible, and shameless about elected officials of both parties and our American institutions like the FBI, CIA, DOJ, and also our foreign allies, while effusively praising tyrants and butchers. JMO.
On a side note I have gone through almost 7 pages of this stuff now and I was ready to give up on this forum until after the elections. I can understand the desire to want to believe conspiracies when stuff isn't going the way you figured, but it's not my thing and I don't respect that kind of thinking. I have a lower opinion of this forum than yesterday.
I appreciate your post @Jazzhead .
This election can't come soon enough.
It will just be another bad day to me.

I hate to say it, but sometimes people just chase the shiny object, the latest fad, what's cool.

Thank goodness for that, nonetheless.

Wray said the bombs were "real." What does that mean? A mail bomb would have a trigger device so it detonates on opening. Timers are not used on a mail bomb. Were there triggers, detonators, any named explosive? This story reeks.

and consumer fireworks were used as the explosive. If somehow a person were able to rig up a device that could light a fuse, they might cause a few burns. Those things are built to put on a show of light, not cause injury on purpose.
We're either talking about the most inept bomb maker ever or someone who deliberately wanted to avoid causing real damage.

I have not heard of detonators found in any of the news reports. The only components I've heard several times on the news was sulfur, glass, batteries, and pvc pipe.

Real enough to where if you received one, you'd soil your pants. They did contain material from fireworks, so technically they could be explosive. Not everyone who builds a device is Kaczynski or McVeigh. Don't underestimate materials. Under the proper conditions, a grain mill can be a huge bomb.

It is difficult for me to understand how any astute observer of body language could watch W's scene reading about the goat when he was 'informed' of 9/11 . . . it is difficult for me to understand how astute observers could have believed that he did NOT know about it WELL BEFOREHAND.
It is more believable to me, than the official story, that the whole kids & pet goat book scene was concocted to provide the maximum contrast to 9/11.

I think the FBI will discover that some of these were sent to the target by the target himself, to get into the news cycle. Eleven pages of excuses for a nut..
I tend to stay away from the political forums during an election season because in my view they devolve into some flavor of my guy, no matter how bad, is still better than your guy...
As I've often said politics is a game that folks who don't like sports play, and like sports fan's they will support their "team" no matter what and invent every implausible excuse in the book for doing so. The thing is that the career politicians and those in their food chain realized a couple of generations ago how truly gullible the American populace is as a whole and how easy it is to make maga bucks...
Both political parties are incapable of calling out the crazies that are their own, granted the Dims have far more crazies than the Gopers, but looking at the posts across many forums the GOP lives up to the stereotype of conspiracy driven loons..instead of saying, yeah we got some nuts out there, but they are not us.... the meme seems to be to feed the paranoia because it gets politicians elected...
I'm hopeful, but not optimistic, that Conservatives refusing to vote for the lessor of two evils will eventually force political change...

Most Americans do not tie conservative ideology with people like this. But when people make excuses or try to come up with nonsensical conspiracies, it can appear that you’re at least sympathetic with the actions of this Individual even though you may not support what he did. The best thing to do is simply do what the president did and condemn this person and his actions. I get that there is an instinct to do what some have chosen to do when you watch how the Liberals, and that includes the Democrats, and the media are treating this. But them to doing what they’re doing currently with this situation after the president came out and forcefully condemned this speaks volumes about them

The same people who swear everything about this makes sense and we're just a bunch of kooks also swear Leigh Corfman was telling the truth. Probably Christine Blasey Ford, too. Heck, you'd have to believe that story about the Benghazi fiasco being caused by a video to believe this, too.
There's BS all over, and after enough political fiascos this past decade, one would think that those of us on the right would realize the sinister forces we are up against.
I'm not talking about made-up nonsense like an Illuminati or a Bohemian Grove conspiracy, where we don't know the players. I'm talking about institutional conspiracy, out in the open. The Democratic Party, in collusion with connections in the major news agencies, will say and do anything, regardless of if it's true. This is all out in the open, and yet even after seeing the playbook play out multiple times, there are still those who fall right into their trap and claim "oh, that's just paranoid conspiracy theory."
Two weeks before an election that's slipping away?! Come on. Anyone who follows politics should know better than that.
Cesar Sayoc is a roid rage-driven, unstable kook—that much is certain—but what we know about him is totally inconsistent with the profile of the bombing targets. Sayoc is not a partisan. The bomber had to be.
(Disclaimer: I am not a Democrat, Republican or any other party member. The Dems are too sinister and the Republicans too incompetent, while the third parties don't offer anything better at this point.)

No, what he had to be was an unstable idiot. He obviously is. There’s a long history of him making threats against various entities that, for whatever reason, draw his ire. Never being seriously punished for it, he took things further, as unstable idiots often do. Those of you continuing with this ridiculous notion other forces are behind his actions are making asses out of yourselves, better than a pair of legs ever could.

Excuse me.... but.... why can't it be both? There ARE forces out there that had to be helping him.... ergo, behind his actions. How the hell did one guy get all those packages (fake bombs) delivered? Care to explain that? For another thing.... if he was really 'living out of his van'.... how did he manage to ""assemble"" all those fake bombs and package them by himself? You really gonna posit that he made his van into a fake bomb assembly line? Really??? Puhleeze.
The guy had help. That is the ONLY logical conclusion one could sensibly make.

You saw how crudely the bombs were constructed. Reportedly, the were filled with fireworks material.
That's easily obtained up and down I-95. End capping was done with adhesive and tons of electrical tape. Wiring was a joke. They're 6" of PVC, which doesn't require a work bench or heavy tools to size. I'm going to guess he used Occam's Razor to cut them down.
As to how they were delivered, many actually weren't. At least one had insufficient postage and others would go through heavier screening layers, based on the recipients. The ones that were delivered went through the USPS, which is the butt of endless jokes for competency and efficiency.
It was slightly amusing, at first, to hear the cries of 'Deep State,' when this first happened. As we learn more about this man, his record, and his social media posts, it's just not funny anymore. At least guys like Dobbs and Woods had sense enough to delete their previous 'hoax' accusation tweets.
Just. Stop.

Sorry.... but.... this whole "bomb" thing was just too contrived and too FAKE to have been a one-man operation. It is exactly by the leftie stuckonstupid-and-desperation playbook. I posit that he had help.
-
I think it’s entirely plausible that the deep state figures in here somewhere.
-
I think some of us are having a little fun with the utter absurdity of the situation, e.g., a former stripper Floridian living in a van who misspells his own state's name in a return address? It's all so cuckoo.
Anyway, I found Ari Fleischer's comments on Twitter interesting. Feel free to agree or disagree:Ari Fleischer Verified account @AriFleischer
1/ On Sayoc and Trump: I’ve urged rhetorical restraint, saying wait until we have facts about who carried out the mail bombs. Now we know. He’s a big Trump supporter. I still urge rhetorical restraint.
9:36 AM - 27 Oct 2018
2/ The shooter at a GOP baseball practice was a big Bernie supporter who deliberately targeted Republicans for death. That didn’t mean Bernie was to blame and I don’t blame Trump for Sayoc’s lunatic acts.
3/ Lunatics do crazy things because they’re lunatics. After all, was Trump to blame when Sayoc in 2002 made a bomb threat?
But there is a bigger picture and it involves the inflammatory language used by Trump and many Democrats. After Sayoc, they all need to cool things down.
â€4/ We’re better as a people when leaders cool passions, not inflame them.
Trump pushed the envelope at his 2016 rallies by calling on the crowd to take out protestors and he has praised a Congressman who body slammed a reporter.
5/ The President needs to decide if he prefers speaking to rallies, where the crowd loves the language, or if he prefers speaking to all Americans, who want the language cooled down.
6/ Joe Biden said he wants to take Trump out back and fight him. Eric Holder wants to kick Republicans. Numerous Ds want people to “get in the faces†of Republicans or harass them at restaurants.
7/ After Sayoc, everyone, from POTUS on down should tone it down. Trump and Sanders didn’t cause the violence. But now is a good time for the President and the Democrats to make their cases without threat of or praise for physical violence.

I am gonna have to agree with you. The false flag deep state conspiracy is making some people to be about as kooky as the bomber. As another person said, there is kooks on both sides of the aisle. Now argue there is more on the left, and I would agree, but no side is exempt from extreme idiots.

... Sayoc lived in a white 2002 Dodge Ram van, which was plastered with stickers supporting Trump and criticizing media outlets that included CNN, which was also targeted by mail bombs.
The van was often parked outside an LA Fitness in Aventura, backed up in a parking space under the trees for shade. Patrons say they frequently saw him in the locker room.
"He'd just be walking straight to the shower and be in the shower forever," said Edgar Lopez, who often exercises at the gym. "I never saw him working out."
Other times, the van was seen parked at the beach in nearby Hollywood before dawn, with Sayoc stripping down to skin-tight shorts for an outdoor shower. ...

Thanks, @Once-Ler I appreciate that you participate here.
Both sides need to calm down, cool down, realize that a moment is here, a propitious moment. Not to ratchet up the rhetoric, but to recognize this to be a potential turning point where folks are LOOKING for leadership. Trump did make an appeal to unity, and the Dems slapped it down. Trump, no doubt, has or will respond in kind and the moment will pass.
If you ask most of here who started it, and they'll say the Dems. Ask the other side, and they blame us. Don't know who you think started it, and when, but the hate has spread like a fungus.
Ari Fleisher is right - Bernie Sanders is not to blame for his supporter almost succeed in murdering multiple Republican Congressman. And Donald Trump is not to blame for his supporter mailing bombs to a clutch of big Dems. But since this bridge has been crossed, by supporters on both sides, it is incumbent on both sides to exhibit leadership, not agitation.
Trump at least made a gesture to do so. And Ari Fleischer is right - Trump has to think long and hard whether he'd rather speak to his adoring rallies or to the rest of us, who don't want to see this political cold war turn hot. Besides - the POSITIVE GOP message is jobs and prosperity, here and now, and directly the result of GOP policies. Fear can be a motivator, and the Dems are masters at stoking it. So is Trump.
BUT TRUMP IS NOT ON THE BALLOT. The choice in two weeks is whether to continue this prosperity, or place it at risk.

The article says he was "cash-strapped". So.... how did he afford all of those nice, apparently new decals on his van? How did he afford the fake bomb materials? Why would he register as a Republican, having previously been "not political", when he wasn't eligible to even vote per Florida laws re: convicted felons being unable to vote? How did he get so many packages that did NOT go through the postal service delivered in different locations?
So many questions. So many willing dupes ... so easily fooled (or willfully fooled) into thinking this was a legitimate "lone wolf kook".... tsk tsk.

Interesting article, but they call him an Ex-stripper, but then in the article it states he didn't strip, but cleaned up and did dj services. Was he a stripper previously and just got too old? Article is not clear.

He had a job it states, so he had some money, it doesn't take a lot when living in your van. Just how expensive do you think decals are? I imagine if he had a buddy, fairly cheap and even if he didn't then surely had 10 dollars to buy one. I just went online, designed a decal and for a 24X24 single decal it was $10.15....
One can go to back of any hardware store and go thru their garbage and get PvC pipe for nothing, or can buy a stick for under 10 dollars. Tape and wire and for under 50 bucks you could make the crap fake bombs. Add in 30 bucks of postage and you still are able to do this next to nothing.
Charged Felon and convicted felon are two different things. He may of been charged with a felon, does not mean he didn't plead down to a lesser crime or it was dropped. Some states recently have been dropping lesser felon charges and letting them vote (drug dealing, non-violent)... Lord knows the democrats crawled the local lists this last election in my state for Doug Jones.
I don't know how the packages were delivered, but he being a private carrier, perhaps he had connections in other places to such carriers. Not to be rude, but perhaps this is the only good question you have.

There is one other question - what he thought he would accomplish sending a dozen plus FAKE bombs to democrats two weeks out from an election when the GOP obviously had the wind at their backs. To me, thats the ONLY question.
-
The right wing violence gets glossed over in right wing echo chambers. Violent kooks seem pretty evenly split across the political spectrum IMO.

@Once-Ler
Interesting. You use a site that cites examples of "right wing" violence, including neo-Nazis and KKK members, both of whom are not "right wing" in any way. Perhaps you are just unaware and misinformed. They even include the Las Vegas shooter and the incel guy. How are these even remotely "right-wing"?
But, I'm beginning to understand where your confusion comes from. The remaining question is why do you post here if you think this is what we are?

Obviously he thought he would scare them, his reasoning was of course faulty, if their own party members don't scare them, how was he thinking he would achieve it with fake bombs.

That question had crossed my mind as well. If someone finds the speculation here so vexing why not just - blow?

He had a job? Where? It stretches my rather fertile imagination that he got paid anything as a stripper. Have you seen the guy? lol
Also, it's been noted that his van was illegally covered with decals...can't have the windows covered up like that... and that IF he driven the van around that much he would have been pulled over and ticketed. And yet, apparently no tickets. Why? Because he had the van parked most of the time, instead of driving it. Which begs the question, how would he manage to have a job, drive around to purchase the fake bomb materials and packaging and stamps, and drive around delivering the fake bomb packages without getting pulled over...? If he tried to mail the fake bomb packages at the post office, there would be video of that too... but so far, nada. It just makes no sense if what I'm reading around the net is correct.

Really? So where are the store videos of him perusing the back of "any hardware store"? And back to my question of how did he supposedly drive his illegal van around that much without getting stopped? And if you're so broke that you are living out of your van and showering at a fitness club, how do you manage to spend $80 or more on all that crap. I would think his most pressing priority would be how to eat and where.... considering that ... again... his van was considered "illegal" to drive that way.

He committed more than one felony. At one point he even violated parole. Are you going to tell me that Florida made an exception to their 'no felons vote' law for this weirdo and let him vote anyway? For what reason? Why would he get special treatment? It just opens the door to even more questions, IMO.
I don't know how the packages were delivered, but he being a private carrier, perhaps he had connections in other places to such carriers. Not to be rude, but perhaps this is the only good question you have.
You can be rude all you want... it matters not a whit to me.... and it won't change what I'm thinking about this whole, yet another rat-inspired, fiasco. I believe I have valid questions that even you doubters should be asking. And if he had "connections" in other places, that means he had help.... right?

Frankly no. I figured it was just an attempt to smear by association.

The article Mountain posted had a little background, he was not "stripping", he was cleaning and doing sound system (I guess DJing)...
-
Also, it's been noted that his van was illegally covered with decals...can't have the windows covered up like that...
My dad drives a van with NO windows, I doubt it is illegal. Side Mirrors and forward view... being covered maybe. But being that vans with NO windows are allowed, I doubt they can get you for not having a view.
-

No windows? I think it's a matter of concealing what's in the van... ie illegal 'too dark' tinting. The decals acted the same way, covering up what's inside. It's a law-enforcement thing, I believe.
-
I am not too sure about the whole cancelled stamp thing.
I would think the Post Office would cancel them so they could not be reused, or they go even further into being broke.
Yet.....
We know some were stopped at Post Offices, at least at sorting facilities, by the Secret Service, in the cases of the 2 sent to the residences of 2 former Presidents.
In this day and age of cameras everywhere, I suppose it would be easy enough to find out when these packages were delivered, and by whom.
You have to figure at the very least, Soros and CNN have surveillance cameras, as I would suspect there would be some at the other locations, as well.
You have to figure in a post-9/11 world, the post offices have them.
It is quite possible that one loser nutcase sent these all through the mail.
Stranger things have happened.
Ricin and Anthrax attacks have gone through the mail.
Checking what the cameras caught would tell the tale, to be sure.
-
There is one other question - what he thought he would accomplish sending a dozen plus FAKE bombs to democrats two weeks out from an election when the GOP obviously had the wind at their backs. To me, thats the ONLY question.
I'm not disputing that the guy was a wacko/nutjob. But yeah... it makes no sense to posit that you are "for" a certain political party and "against" another.... and then pull this fake bomb stunt which would presumably hurt the political party you are supposedly for. (whew! lol)
I am convinced that, since the guy was also an idiot, he had to have had "help".
-
Really? So where are the store videos of him perusing the back of "any hardware store"?
I don't know, you do realize it has only been like 24 hours since his name was released, not like all the hardware stores are showing their videos to a pretty cut and dry case. Personally I have enough old PvP pipe to make 500 of these fake bombs just in my pile of junk in the back pasture out of sight of the road.
If someone came and took a stick I probable wouldn't know it.

Again, this is a good question. I don't have answers for it as of yet, but again, it has only been a 24 hours right. Lets let it play out with some more facts and see. Right now I ain't feeling it. Looks like a loon among the Trump faithful. Again, not to be rude, I am sure there is loons among the "never Trumpers" like me too. Crazy happens but the spin control groups are funny to watch.

Yeah, it will play out, as you said.... one way or another. Only problem is... much like the Las Vegas shooter... if the ""findings"" don't turn out to be politically correct enough (to suit the leftist media and agenda)...
we will never be allowed to know the answers to all of these questions. Oh well...

I can understand why a 5 day, 40 hour a week Democrat doesn't associate themselves with Antifa.
It's the same 'concept' used by the typical apolitical, peaceful Muslim. "We're not for bloody jihad....".
So? Are we passionate Briefers who've all had their 'Howard Beale' moment and feel ENOUGH is ENOUGH...are we expected to condemn them when the aforementioned are not??
Bull. Shit.

Really. When was the last time you heard a grand wizard hold forth against Faustian Fabian socialism, governmental overreach, or oppressive taxation?
They’re a hate group. Period. Only the left has an interest in conflating them with the political right.

@Sanguine I believe Trump's overwhelming support from Stormfront, Richard Spencer, David Duke and other racists was actively pursued by Trump in 2016. You want to throw out racists as right wing because you don't think they are right wing...I do.
However, I don't think anyone here is a skinhead, nazi, or kkk. Thanx for the opportunity to clarify my position.

We have two parties in this country. There is no party just for the Kooks, so they have choose one party or the other.

What overwhelming support was that? Link? Proof? Trying to get votes from "everywhere" during a campaign doesn't necessarily count as "overwhelming support", btw.
I happen to think there is a big/huge difference between the two parties re: support of extremists. Whereas ....I truly believe that the rabid left Democrats approve of and encourage (if not support and fund) Antifa anarchists... which represents the extreme left.
I do not, however, believe that Trump or ANY Republicans support or approve of (much less fund) radical right-wing extremists like the KKK and nazi/skinhead types.
To be fair... you probably should make that distinction clear, as well. Right?
-

Uhhh..... but.... the issue wasn't that they support Trump. You were essentially claiming that Trump supports (by seeking their support) neonazis, racists and skinheads. Right?
I mean... how can a candidate or president control who or what supports him...?

Calling people racist, the race card, has been so overused, it's largely lost it's effectiveness.
Especially, when so many of us, including the prior President can be called that.... McCain was called that even.
It's become something like crying wolf.

My dad drives a van with NO windows, I doubt it is illegal. Side Mirrors and forward view... being covered maybe. But being that vans with NO windows are allowed, I doubt they can get you for not having a view.
@Sighlass
This pretty much confirms what I had read elsewhere about how Sayoc's van could have and probably would have been ticketed if he drove the van that way.
There are no regulations prohibiting stickers on side windows or back windshield, however it is recommended to keep it in line with Florida window tint laws.
Technically all stickers can potentially reduce your clear view of the road, therefore an overeager police officers may issue a citation for any non-mandatory window stickers, claiming your vision of the road is reduced or impaired.

Uhhh..... but.... the issue wasn't that they support Trump. You were essentially claiming that Trump supports (by seeking their support) neonazis, racists and skinheads. Right?
I mean... how can a candidate or president control who or what supports him...?
He may be referring to candidate Trump pretending to not know who David Duke was. That was difficult for me to accept as well. But to expand that to assert that he sought the support of racists in general is ridiculous in the extreme and an point of view more suited to the hardcore left.

"Trump Defends White-Nationalist Protesters: 'Some Very Fine People on Both Sides'"
It's been proven that not all of those who marched with the white nationalists like Spencer were not Neo-Nazi types. Now, we have to go back and dig up information to prove this? We have more pressing issues, maybe later.
Some were just concerned about that statue.

But what about this in that first link???
“I’ve condemned neo-Nazis. I’ve condemned many different groups. But not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me,†he said.
“You had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists,†Trump said. “The press has treated them absolutely unfairly.â€

Exactly. As a candidate, it's a given that you accept support from all... all you can get. Not exactly what I would call a fair assessment of someone's real stance.

As for the third link.... even Bush had a good point re: Duke. I'm surprised that you're trying to use David Duke against Trump now, considering what a good point it was.
Even though Mr. Duke did not seek the endorsement of the state Republican convention last summer and has been repudiated by state and national Republican organizations alike, he calls himself "the Republican candidate" in the governor's race because he is a registered Republican.

I don't think @mystery-ak would appreciate me posting a ton of links to neonazi propaganda. If you really want answers google "richard spencer david duke support Trump" and start reading.

Yes, we are in a discussion forum. It was thoroughly discussed here, this forum could act as a reference rather than having us reinvent the wheel with an old story.l
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unite_the_Right_rally (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unite_the_Right_rally)
Who does the article say participated in the rally? And NOT the torchlight march from the night before.
The article reads one participating group was the New York Light Foot Militia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Light_Foot_Militia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Light_Foot_Militia)
The group's leader, George Curbelo lives in Delaware County, New York and says that the group has around 250 members who train monthly at firearms, reconnaissance, and navigation. Curbeo says the group does not "support white supremacy" and says that the group includes non-whites and non-Christians.[1]
And MOTHER JONES, posted here before, notoriously left-wing said:
Mother Jones magazine reported that "a group of assault-rifle-toting militia members from New York State, wearing body armor and desert camo, played a more active role in breaking up fights" than police did.[4]
And individuals marched.
I'm sure much more of this can be found. It is surprising that one is holding on to this rally from last year which must have a lot of pages of discussion on.
It's almost like a McCarthy witch hunt to find the racists.

I think some of us are having a little fun with the utter absurdity of the situation, e.g., a former stripper Floridian living in a van who misspells his own state's name in a return address? It's all so cuckoo.

@mountaineer
That makes a lot of sense, IMO.

I wouldn't put him down. He was 100% correct about his claims that the commies were embedded and infiltrated. It's just his methods that may have done him in. Then again... had he had Trump's mentality and penchant for lashing back or fighting back at his detractors...
it may have been a completely different scenario and end. We'll never know for sure.

Events, no matter how nasty, 'go away' when the answers are politically inconvenient. It was interesting that the usual suspects didn't get very far with their antigun diatribes before the news went pretty quiet.
It's strange, but 'nonstories' happen, even when they shouldn't.
Who knows where that back trail leads?

NBC News: ‘Cesar Sayoc Told Federal Investigators He Didn’t Do It’
ByChris Menahan -
October 28, 2018
Mentally ill homeless steroid addict and broke stripper Cesar Sayoc reportedly told the feds “he didn’t do it†during pre-Miranda questioning, according to NBC News.
“Under pre-Miranda (public safety exemption) questioning Cesar Sayoc told federal investigators he didn’t do it and would not say how many packages he sent,†NBC News’s Tom Winter said, citing reporting by WNBC investigative reporter Jonathan Dienst. “Post-Miranda he requested a lawyer and refused to talk.†...
This reporting is different from that of CNN, who said Friday that Sayoc “told investigators that the pipe bombs wouldn’t have hurt anyone and that he didn’t want to hurt anyone.†...DC Dirty Laundry (https://dcdirtylaundry.com/nbc-news-cesar-sayoc-told-federal-investigators-he-didnt-do-it/)
Here's all NBC said about it:... Multiple senior law enforcement sources told NBC News that Sayoc denies being behind the package bomb campaign. ...

The so-called stickers I heard one surmise, is actually, a window-fitting. Those stickers do not look so much like they are all separate but maybe a decoupage.

Google And Amazon Cracked Down On Guns But Still Make It Easy To Find Bomb-Making Instructions
...
And Google’s first page of search results for pipe-bomb making instructions includes a text file with instructions written by Columbine shooter Eric Harris.
“Pipe bombs are some of the easiest and deadliest ways to kill a group of people,†Harris wrote. He recommended using shrapnel “if you want to kill and injure a lot of people.â€
YouTube, which is owned by Google, announced in March that it would ban videos with instructions for assembling guns.
https://dailycaller.com/2018/10/27/google-amazon-pipe-bombs/
Drudge has up, that the first page of a google search on how to make a bomb turns up results on how to do it to repeat.
I heard one report that the bombs this guy sent out, nevertheless, had glass shards in them....
