@Kamaji

I was thinking "Maybe she will be a little less full when she comes back in?",but then I noticed the litter box.

I have a Tuxedo cat just like that, I call her Shamette, but she doesn't go out anymore since we had to move into an apartment.

@GtHawk

I have two. One  a long-haired cat,and the other a short-haired "mini-me" version that looks to be maybe  half-grown,but is several years old. I don't have any houses or neighbors within a couple of miles,and came home  on different  days to find them cowering in the grass in my hard. Afraid of everything,including me,they just hunched down and quivered in fear.

I just picked them both  up  (at different times,of course) in my hands and carried them in the house. They both hid a bit,then  looked around a bit,and finally decided they live in my lap or on the couch. They like to look out the windows,but open a door and they run and hide.

My ex and her sister came to my house to help me get dressed and ready for the rescue squad one night a couple of years ago,and the little one got up  on the arm of the couch near me and snarled and hissed at the rescue squad when they came up  to me. I was so out of it I didn't really notice,and the two women told me about it later. They said  I picked her up and petted her to calm her down,but  I don't remember doing that.

She also likes to get up on the couch back to "groom" my hair while I am watching tv.

Cutest little mini-cat I have ever seen,and with that short hair,it's really hard for me to believe  someone just  threw her away.

BTW,it is obvious she  was an "only cat" in her former home,because she doesn't want to have  anything to do with any  of the other cats,and does her best to ignore them. Since she is the size of a large kitten even though she has been living with me for 5+ years now,she doesn't even try to hiss or fight,she just moves away.
