Friend of mine had a dog that did the same thing. Told her I almost felt sorry for the poor dumb SOB that ever tried to hurt that child. Almost.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

@Kamaji

All the military can do to you for mistreating one of their K-9 dogs is a short stint in a military prison,and then a discharge.

Chances are the dogs handler would just kill you if he got a chance.

Golden retriever missing for 3 months found by Colorado deputies during drone training

By Patrick Reilly
September 14, 2022

A golden retriever that had been lost for three months was reunited with her family after she was spotted by Colorado deputies during a drone training exercise, authorities said.

The pup, named Farrah, was spotted Sunday in the area where she was last seen with the help of the drone’s infrared camera, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said.

Farrah is now happily at home with her owner, Taylor Salazar, although she weighs half of her original body weight and needs to have one of her legs amputated, according to KRDO. The dog’s vet said she may have been hit by a car.

The pup was adopted by Salazar as a companion dog after her husband Fili was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2019.

“We needed something to brighten up our household,” she told the outlet. “And she did just that. He was in love with her the minute he saw her.”

@Kamaji

Somebody lost a black lab around here maybe 6 months ago. I first started seeing posters all over the place with the dogs photo and a phone number to call offering a "no questions asked reward of $500 for her safe return".

Now there is a billboard up,and the offer for her safe return is up to $1500.

I have serious doubts she is still alive. For some odd reason,there is a cult of dog fight fanciers around this area,and as soon as the police arrest one group,another  group pops up. Two of the cats I adopted from the SPCA were "dog fight bait" when the ring that held them was busted,and both VERY affectionate house cats once I got them home.

Truth to tell,I almost refused to adopt them because they both were so terrified I couldn't even get them to look at me. They would just squat down,close their eyes,and tremble.

At that time I had already found homes for all the strays I had been feeding behind a local grocery store,and needed cats to help keep the mice and snakes down in the house.

AND.....there is no such thing as a house so airtight that a mouse or a snake can't get inside.
