The cat here will watch "tv" (actually, YouTube) if I put it on.

If I'm sitting in a chair downstairs, she'll sit behind me and look at the screen, as if she were asking "when are you going to put MY tv on"...?

@Fishrrman That wouldn't work well with my old cat,Homicide. Just as soon as she figured out there was nothing there for her to kill,she would come looking to claw and/or bite me to get revenge for being tricked.
Had that cat for around 2 years before I could touch her without getting bit or scratched. My father,who didn't like cats,was terrified of her because for some odd reason she took to him right away,and would jump up in his lap to lay down when he was sitting in his chair. If he tried to get her to move,she would snarl and start to dig her nails in,so he would just have to sit there until she was ready to move before he could get up.
By the time he died,she had taught him to cook fish for her. He,of course,denied cooking it for her. Kept trying to claim he just cooked too much,so he gave her what was left over.
He also claimed she never slept with him,despite me having photos. "I don't let no damn cat into my bed!" would be his response. To which I would reply,"Well,it ain't like she asks you. She just waits until you go to sleep so you don't disturb her with a bunch of moving around,and then she moves in."
On the day he died,the last words he spoke were "Boy,you take good care of that damn cat!"
He just couldn't ever admit he liked a cat.
Although it's not like she gave him any options. She decided,for whatever reason,that SHE liked HIM,so he just had to learn to live with it.
