Tonight Raimo the Viking, Warrior, King crossed over the Rainbow bridge. A friend of Vergette's was watching him while we went out of town. He managed to sneak outside and a Coyote got into it with him. He was 15 years old and the injuries he sustained would have put down a younger dog. We got home in time to be with him at the end. I will miss him more than I can say.

I've never gotten over the loss of one of my dogs. My earliest one was my collie in 1958. My life was changed by that event. At times I marvel that the stabbing pain of losing my dogs over the years hasn't killed me.
