Shadows of the Night was a big hit for Pat Benatar in 1982 it was a cover of a rejected song by D.L. Byron in 1980 for the movie "Times Square"...

But the song was went 5X Plat in Germany one year before Pat Benatar got her hands on it...

Actual hits compared.  And considering one I'd never care to hear again, the other I adore.

I MUCH prefer the cover by Club Nouveau for "Lean on Me" over original Bill Withers.

The '80s was much more fun, and the original extremely sleepy and depressing in sound, especially for "friends".
