Which brings it to the real point - being this close to election, what are the Rat political mechanations and agenda going on here?

Maria's been so quiet the past few years, after being one of the bigger "news breakers" for a long time.

I wondered if she is giving up the fight.

I don't think the dims wanted this.  Otherwise, they'd planned this for next January if Trump wins.   There's some backlit anamosity going on right now between big labor and the democratic machinery.  Let's not forget.....  Union workers are part of the. business world.  And when you have the most anti-business adminstration in history, some unintended toes are stepped on.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Completely stupid. TP is made in America. We export it.

I stocked up years ago for hurricanes and have kept TP and paper towels pretty well stocked. Yes TP is a basic necessity and that's a huge concern, but equally concerning is fruits and vegetables, especially bananas as they are shipped in - I read that that can be peeled, sliced and frozen.

I should probably stock up on bread.

During shortages people seem to be cured of gluten illnesses.

Frozen bananas aren't bad. Peel, wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap, put as many in a ziploc bag as will fit, and freeze.
Why is "abbreviation" such a long word?

And food...  Is even 10% of what we eat imported?

Hoarding in an emergency is a terrible flaw in the human psyche.

And even bananas and other fruits/vegetibables.  Last time I looked at the geogrpahy, there are still land routes down to Mexico and Central America. (Bananas are mostly from Guatmala)

Not to mention there is plenty of land access to the West Coast, where there isn't a strike.

Yep, bananas will freeze. As will avocado and of course onion, tomatoes, peppers and most green veggies. Asparagus not so much. (: But I froze it. It comes out like canned. I even froze cut up cantaloupe. It lost texture but the flavor was good.

Vulcan asks a good question:
"Which brings it to the real point - being this close to election, what are the Rat political mechanations and agenda going on here?"

My totally speculative reply:
They don't know what they should do.
Not a one of them.
And... when told what their options might be... they will be afraid and unwilling to try any of them.

Here's a VERY good piece by Jeffrey Tucker that appeared at The Epoch Times this morning.
I suggest you read it ALL THE WAY through.

62% over 5 years?

That's really going to help inflation.   :thud:

What I just heard, may/may not be true, is this agreement is only until January. It wasn't reported about any immediate wage increase. Could be true though.

Given what is going on with Helene the Horrible, I may have been tempted to become a scab and start unloading boats myself.

Well, maybe a couple of years ago.

There seems to be a tentative agreement. Dockworkers agreed to go back to work while the details are ironed out.

  • I need to be in love, K.c. R.C.
Fortunately the fools and damn fools refuse to blame anything Biden has done, except blame Republicans for 3 1/2 yrs of Biden being Republicans fault.  Have you heard?  Kamala is now a moderate, just like Biden was just before last Pres election and is going to save us from the evil Trump that unfortunately brought us jobs and fiscal responsibility to America while he was in office.  Kamala who rubber stamped 3 1/3 years of Biden was against Biden all that time, {so she now says} imagine the millions of fools that fell for the manure spreader of perverted reality/history?  So how many fools and damn fools will vote for Kamala to ensure another 4 years of Biden type woke agendas then bawl for the next four years of how could life/God be so cruel as to give us what THEY voted for again?

Forest Gump:  Stupid is as stupid DOES!

rEMEMBER Burke:  All thats needed for the wicked to prevail is for good men to do nothing.  {Especially at election times!}

Then turn and blame  God for letting the anal retentive fools getting thier way, like they did Biden last Pres election.

Dock strikes shutting down the economy, fools shortages known and encouraged by our own government.  Chinese diseases, plagues spread everywhere, then lethal toxic cures to make the crisis's even worse.  Were damn fools ever this glad and determined to be damn fools? and vote again as such?
