Inside Trump’s plan to deport ‘nearly 20 million’ illegal migrants from the US

Donald Trump has vowed to deliver the “largest mass deportation effort” in American history if he gets back into office next year, targeting millions of illegal migrants across the country.

The 45th president has frequently spoken about his deportation agenda, and recently indicated in a TIME Magazine interview that he would leverage local law enforcement, the National Guard and the military to carry out his plan — similar to the dragnet-style sweeps of “Operation Wetback” under former President Dwight Eisenhower that shipped more than 1 million migrants out in 1954.

The Trump 2024 campaign has not gotten into the details of what resources would be needed to find, detain and deport the “nearly 20 million” illegal migrants they say are currently in the US.

But carrying out an operation that large would require a massive expansion of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, collaboration with the State Department and a boost in funding from Congress, former ICE officials tell The Post.

The 20 million claim from the Trump campaign is “not an unreasonable estimate” given the fluctuations and record-breaking number of migrants entering the US under the Biden administration, Eric Ruark, NumbersUSA’s director of research, told The Post.

“There’s probably between 15 and 20 million, given the number of people we’ve seen coming over,” Ruark said, contrasting with the official estimate of 11 million from the US Census Bureau.

Not going to happen other than the criminals and such.
The US native  birth rate is not even at replacement or even levels but in the negative.

I have no doubt Trump will build a wall but it will have giant doors.  The other difference is the immigrants will be vetted.

Neither the Republicans or democrats are doing anything about it the last 3 years. Nothing but lip service

The US needs these younger workers to keep up our housing prices and supply money towards SS and Medicare and pension plans

Illegals right now are given a temporary id number and they are paying into SS right now but will not receive any benefit

Italy,  Japan are selling homes for a $1 each now to foreigners.

The people in charge of our economy knows the score. We are between a rock and a hard place-mass immigrants is the lesser of two evils.
It would be worse to see our economy and housing crash to levels we have never seen
Japan has 11 million empty homes and people have lost their life savings-their house because no one is around to buy them.

Do you want you house to drop down to pennies on n the dollar or accept Jose and Juanita  as your new neighbors
Other economies around the world are collapsing because they not have younger workers .

Meanwhile in the real world

The ongoing migrant crisis is unprecedented, both in scale and the effect it has had beyond the border states to cities located deep within the country. Major cities such as New York, Denver and Chicago are finding themselves under extreme financial pressure, exacerbated by the lack of federal funding or assistance. So just how long can cities withstand the recent surge of migrants and what do they need to end the crisis?

And

Illegal immigrants are a net fiscal drain, meaning they receive more in government services than
they pay in taxes. This result is not due to laziness or fraud. Illegal immigrants actually have
high rates of work, and they do pay some taxes, including income and payroll taxes. The
fundamental reason that illegal immigrants are a net drain is that they have a low average
education level, which results in low average earnings and tax payments. It also means a large
share qualify for welfare programs, often receiving benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born
children. Like their less-educated and low-income U.S.-born counterparts, the tax payments of
illegal immigrants do not come close to covering the cost they create.

And

Record numbers in illegal immigration have resulted in United States taxpayers bearing the burden of tens of billions of dollars going toward paying for migrants and their families.

And there’s more

So as you see, your claim of mass migration being a net benefit to taxpayers and the economy is proven false

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

??? I question your logic. #1) There is a way to come legally into the U.S.  #2) Those crossing for the most part aren't here to make a better life for themselves, they want to destroy us, take us over, and have no intention of assimilating.

It's not a matter of accepting Juan and Juanita as neighbors, but the very real possibility of fighting terrorists and extremists that have crossed over.

Also, we CANNOT sustain and support the millions that are already here -- our tax dollars and infrastructure are maxed out.  Thinking that all of these millions that have crossed into this country are going to be law abiding and paying taxes is unrealistic.

There's the "earned income" child care credit, any illegal with a number can apply for that and make money, even if they reported an income of zero dollars. And they can get SSDI.

The costs of educating them is outrageous, and their healthcare - property taxes are going through the roof. So what if the house is appraised more,  it's then just taxed more. Property taxes have doubled in Clark County, WA since Biden was installed.

I have a grown son in the Denver area, his rent for his apartment exhorbiant.

In a nutshell, yes.

Each child brought into this country costs $15,000 a year for public education on average all by itself. A family with three children costs taxpayers $45,000 a year. And that's just costs from education. That doesn't include healthcare, law enforcement, subsidies etc.

They don't begin to put a dent in the costs with the taxes they pay.

I

The US  does an incredible job of assimilating immigrants.  Studies show 2nd generation immigrants have education levels at the native born rate and college levels just a few points below whites

They are not coming here to destroy us but they have no future in their own countries

Europe on the other hand has never assimilated their immigrants. They push them in to no go zonesaling with their own people in ghettos  and give them zero chance to succeed so they revolt

Talk with any business owner who has hired Hispanics. They are the hardest working people on the planet

The people from China are escaping a bad and worsening conditions  and a increasing authoritarian govt. Chinese age 30 and younger have 45-50 percent unemployment and Chinas economy is crashing

Have there been terrorists and bad criminal coming across. You bet but most just want a better life

And they tend to occupy low skilled occupations which are not high paying professional jobs

And what he says he'll do will shift as time goes on. Just like last time. Later it was "I will build a wall with a big, beautiful door in it" and we'll let the "good ones in", etc...

Much like "I'm going to lock up Hillary" to "she suffered enough" the day after the election...

Some steak that eventually turns into Spam.

Here's what Cruz said about illegal immigration, long before Trump said a word about it, in 2011:
