6 Common Bills That Middle-Class Families Can’t Afford in 2024

A common theme for most middle-class families has been the challenge of increased expenses caused by inflation. Certain costs are becoming unaffordable for the average American family in 2024.

Here’s a look at specific bills that are very common and are becoming more challenging for a middle-class family to afford.

Digital Services and Internet..........

Insurance............

Dining Out...........

Housing Costs............

Childcare Expenses.............

Credit Card Bills.............

We don't dine out much, anyway, but groceries, gasoline and utility bills are the big ones for us.

Those along with homeowner's insurance, flood insurance and property taxes for us.

Insurance is the biggest killer for me....home, auto and health.

My satellite, internet and landline are just ticking me off. But not enough to do anything about it yet, lol. My brother laughs at me when I bitch about the increases in these. He's probably more in tune with what most people pay.

Eating out?? That twice a year treat won't make or break me I don't guess.

Just sitting here thanking God every day that Trump is not President. I was getting so sick and tired of zero inflation, affordable food and gasoline. And that whole no wars for 4 years thing was just to much for me to handle!.

My wife and I are truly blessed. We both have high incomes and inflation has not been a factor for us.

I know people have been suffering. I worry inflation while it may come down will be with us for many years and people will vote in more European style socialism.

Pretty much I have none of the above...

My place is modest. I could forego insurance altogether... Liability only on the rigs. Again, modest. If I wreck it, I can come up with another for a few thousand in hit.

Now, that don't always work out. Caught a wind a couple years ago that damaged the roof. That ain't covered. It's fixed good enough, but the whole roof needs replaced, and that in the next couple years. That's on me. Hopefully I am back in an upright position by then, and I'll just put the new roof on myself.

But by and large, a frugal existence is not only possible, but desired.
I don't want all that crap. Been there, done that, barfed blood every morning.
No more.

So nothing but the simple things.
No subscriptions (except Prime and MS Office, both of which are for work)
Very little insurance.
Own the house.
Almost debt free.
Never eat out - Prefer not to
No car payments (hardly ever in my life)

Plenty of room for modest entertainment.
A pretty happy, stress-free way to be.

Inflation will remain as long as the government spends and prints and spends and prints
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

RNC Research
@RNCResearch
NEW: The average family has lost $23,760 paying for the increased cost of living under Biden, according to the Joint Economic Committee, including:

— $4,170 more on energy.
— $3,206 more on food.
— $3,981 more on shelter.
— $8,455 more on transportation.

Now THAT'S Bidenomics!

If you look at the various different states, it's an eye-opener.  Some states are more in proportion to the rest of the U.S. and some are much higher; FL is definitely one of the states where inflation is higher.

...hmm....what we could do with another $23,760!
