Multiple people shot at Philadelphia event marking end of Ramadan: authorities

Gunshots rang out during an Eid al-Fitr event in West Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon, leaving multiple people injured, reports said.
Authorities “made numerous arrests and at least 4 guns were recovered” from the scene where hundreds were celebrating the end of Ramadan, FOX 29’s Steve Keeley reported, citing police sources.
At least one Philadelphia police officer fired their weapon, he added.
Two people were reportedly hospitalized as of 3 p.m.
One person may have been shot by an officer responding to the gunfire, Philly Crime Alerts said.
A heavy police presence could be seen on aerial video from local network FOX 20.
When reached by The Post, the Philadelphia Police Department declined to comment on the developing situation.
