October 7th and the Future of the United States
By David Lanza

As we approach the six-month anniversary of the attacks against Israel of October 7, 2023, we must take stock of the reaction and aftermath of such attacks and how they impact our own nation.

Many of us were rightly outraged at the October attacks as we compared them to the attacks against America of September 11, 2001. We have seen the horrifying videos, expressed our solidarity with the Israelis and cheered on long overdue pushback against media and academic enablement of terrorist sympathizers.

But the leftist response to the October attacks has been more brazen, more immediate, and more entrenched in recent months than it ever was in response to September 11. Pro-Hamas protestors in this country have shut down New York’s Manhattan Bridge, shouted “Allahu Akbar” in sustained protests outside the World Trade Center, chased down and threatened a Jewish teacher inside a Queens high school and coordinated a bus strike at Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. -- thus stranding hundreds of Jewish visitors hoping to attend a rally.

While our nationwide response to September 11 was not completely unified, these sustained and coordinated actions reveal much more strength in the pro-terrorist movement within our borders. These activities go beyond mere mass protests. They now have the imprimatur of official support from within the highest levels of our establishment.

Isn't "From the river to the sea" a blatant call for genocide of the Israelis currently living there?

Why are we still in the Middle East?  We don't need their oil anymore.  The Middle East has rarely known peace between empires' competition to control it.

Zionism is not compatible with democratic ideals.  Zionism is the Jewish re-conquest of Canaan.  Palestinian Arabs cannot be equal citizens in a Zionist state because they will eventually outnumber Jews, and have the democratic majority in Government.

At best, Zionism affords 2nd class apartheid citizenship to Palestinian Arabs to maintain a majority Jewish government.  The current conservative Israeli policy towards Palenstinian Arabs appears to be civil ethnic cleansing at best, and genocide at worst.

A majority Palestinian Arab Government would disown the Jewish population, and carry forth a policy of ethnic cleansing or genocide towards Jews, and possibly all non-Muslims.

There is no reason to be there other than for control of natural resources (which we no longer need from them).  What is America's strategic need to be there?  Europe and Asia have strategic interests in the Middle East, but the US does not.

There is no strategic benefit for America to expend blood, treasure, and reputation to provide protection to other nations' interests.

Many Middle East territories became French and British protectorates as the Ottoman Empire declined and collapsed.  After World War II, the United States backfilled Britain and France as protectors in the Middle East as French and British colonial empires collapsed under their own weight.  America inserted itself into the region to mainly foil Soviet influence in the area during the Cold War.

Cold War v1.0 is over.  America is not dependentent upon Middle East oil anymore.  The prime beneficiaries of Pax Americana in the Middle East are Saudi Arabia, Europe, India, China, and Asia; not America.

Maybe it's time America stopped shoveling sand against the tide in the Middle East, and reduced its presence and profile in the region.

America's strategic diplomatic and economic interests are in the Western Hemisphere, Africa, and the Indo-Pacific.

Let some other empire bankrupt itself attempting to inflict peace and prosperity upon a region that is in a perpetual state of civil war.

The Pallies have been saying that's not 100% of what they want.  They want all Jews in the world dead, and everybody else either Allah worshipers or taxpayers.
