Former President Donald Trump still holds leads over President Joe Biden in most key swing states, but his margins in two of those states have tightened.

A new Wall Street Journal poll released Tuesday night shows Trump leading Biden 44%-43% in Georgia, and the two men are tied at 46% in Wisconsin, in a head-to-head matchup.

In a six-person race, including independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, libertarian candidate Lars Mapstead, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Biden leads Trump in Wisconsin 41%-38%, while Trump leads Biden in Georgia 38%-35%.

The margins in the two key states, which Trump won in 2016 and Biden won in 2020, have tightened in the polls compiled by RealClearPolitics for its polling average. Polls in Wisconsin earlier this year had shown Trump with a lead as big as 5 percentage points over Biden, while polls in Georgia earlier this year had shown him leading by as much as 8 points. Trump still leads Biden in both polling averages, by 4.5 points in Georgia and 0.6 points in Wisconsin.

In the Wall Street Journal poll, which was conducted from March 17-24 among 600 registered voters in each of the seven battleground states, Trump leads Biden in all the other states included.

I'm feeling pretty damn good about a Wisconsin win.  Yesterday, the mayor's office in Wausau flipped from blue to red in a city that went 8 percent for Biden:

Constitutional amendments
The two constitutional amendments on election administration were sought by Republicans in the Legislature who objected to a $350 million donation by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to the nonprofit Center for Tech and Civic Life, to help cover the costs of administering elections, including in Wisconsin, during the pandemic in 2020.

The donation, derisively nicknamed “Zuckerbucks” by election deniers, fueled unfounded conspiracy theories claiming that election interference led to Donald Trump’s loss in the 2020 presidential race.

Question 1 on the ballot asked voters, “Shall section 7 (1) of article III of the constitution be created to provide that private donations and grants may not be applied for, accepted, expended, or used in connection with the conduct of any primary, election, or referendum?”

Question 2 on the ballot asked voters, “Shall section 7 (2) of article III of the constitution be created to provide that only election officials designated by law may perform tasks in the conduct of primaries, elections, and referendums?”
