Former President Donald Trump delivered a blunt warning to Israel in its war against Hamas in a recent interview.

Trump said Israel made a “big mistake” in how it handled the Oct. 7 surprise attack from Hamas and called for the Jewish nation to “finish up your war.”

“And I think Israel made a very big mistake. I wanted to call [Israel] and say don’t do it,” Trump told Israel Hayom during an interview held at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. “These photos and shots. I mean, moving shots of bombs being dropped into buildings in Gaza. And I said, Oh, that’s a terrible portrait. It’s a very bad picture for the world.”

As the war continues, fatigue is settling along with rising anger from progressives who allege Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip.

“You have to finish up your war. To finish it up,” Trump warned about the growing pushback from allies. “Israel has to be very careful because you’re losing a lot of the world. You’re losing a lot of support. But you have to finish up. You have to get the job done. And you have to get on to peace. You have to get on to a normal life for Israel and for everybody else.”

Trump is really starting to worry me, he wants Ukraine to just let Russia have what they want to end the war, he thinks Israel should have just taken it up the AZZ and not gone after the Hamas murdering psychopaths...........so if America is attacked, what is Trump willing to give the attackers to appease them?

I don't want America in wars, especially endless religious wars, but Trump is really undercutting(in my eyes) his strongman don't screw with me and the US and replacing it with hey lets make a deal, what'll it take to just make you go away....it's not a good look!

It has now been how long... where did Trump say earlier "wipe them out" as I (and several here) suggested. I must of missed it. To me Trump is not saying that now (Shoot and whip butt), but that Israel should once again wimp out of defending itself. Yes Israel is doing a PC (don't hurt the poor innocents that don't actually exist) war, but they are trying to thread the needle of world opinion, which is a bad idea in my opinion, cause you will never appease those that already hate you.

That's the truth. About the time I think I can "hold my nose" and vote for Trump...he comes out with something like this.

IMHO, he has said the same thing about Ukraine and wants to be viewed as the person that brought peace to the world. No matter the cost to the counties involved.

There is no doubt in my mind that Israel has the capability to turn that region into dust. Could be wanting to get what remains of the hostages. I'm a little confused by what he said.   First it was "don't do it". Don't do what? Don't retaliate? Don't bomb? Don't anger countries that don't really support Israel anyway? Then he does an about face and says "finish your war". Someone needs to remind Trump Americans were killed Oct 7th and others taken hostage.

The only way Israel survives in the Middle East is if its neighbors help her.  This 57 year old whack a war is destroying Israel's future and growing another, larger generation of anti-Israel groups, who are smarter, more patient and better armed.

Israel should admit to herself the 57 year old contain, cleanse strategy has backfired.  It's time for Israel to "get on to peace" and be one voice among her neighbors as a new path is forged in the hood.
