Former President Donald Trump‘s influence over the GOP further solidified Tuesday evening when his candidates won their primary races.

But Trump and President Joe Biden still face nagging problems within their parties as protest voters continue their snub of both candidates after Tuesday’s elections in Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, and Florida.

Plus, no victor emerged in a special election in California to replace former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in Congress, meaning Republicans’ slim majority in the House will remain narrow.

Here are the top takeaways from Tuesday’s primaries.

Disturbing results from central Ohio:

Ismail Mohamed won his race in Ohio's 3rd district last night, beating Abdirizak Diini. He campaigned (almost) entirely in Somali instead of English. His campaign pitch? To represent the interests of Somalia.

“There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americans... The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of it continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities.”

 Theodore Roosevelt October 12, 1915

Mr. Roosevelt was entirely correct!

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Indeed he was absolutely correct!
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
