Former Speaker Gingrich says Trump should go into major cities and win over Biden voters

"If he does that, he could win the biggest election since Roosevelt in 1932," Gingrich said.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that former President Donald Trump could win over Biden voters in major cities by doing speeches there and giving a vision of how to make life better for the people living there.

"My hope, frankly, is that Trump will be in every major city, offering speeches about how to save the cities, and how to change policies," Gingrich said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "If he does that, he could win the biggest election since Roosevelt in 1932."

Gingrich noted that many different Americans are suffering under President Joe Biden's economy and Trump's big focus should be getting the economy back on track.

"I think to a degree that Trump can actually go out to all the groups that are now available," he said. "You're seeing movement among Latinos, among African Americans, among Asian Americans. You're seeing younger people who, two years ago, were much further to the left. But now they're looking economically."

Not happening

Sure, go into the cities. But they’re not gonna vote for him.
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
I don't know how you can win voters who vote based on virtue signaling moral superiority and not their personal economic situation. True believer cultists are near impossible to win over.

The other half of America...

These are the places that vote Democrat, but has anyone told them there is a better way?

How many are 'true believers' and how many have just been so immersed in Leftist propaganda they just can't see any other way? Pull that veil aside for them, and who knows what could happen? Cities were at one time prosperous places, where people were drawn by the hopes of employment and advancement, not just hubs of crime and violence.

The question is one of which life the inhabitants would prefer.

Funny how veil and evil are anagrams of each other...just switch two letters around.

That question has already been answered judging by their voting patterns the last several decades

You vote for what you know, and they aren't likely getting anything through the leftist filters that control their information. Especially not the (to them) mythical notion of living in someplace safe and clean.  The whole concept has been filtered out of their venue, and the people running are more of the same, not a contrasting offering.

That strategy doomed Hitlerly in '16.

DJT needs to focus on Battleground Swing states.

Trump could win some urban voters who are resentful that Biden's Migrants have taken public facilities and services away from them.

They'll find a Republican somewhere in the city to blame it all on... If only they were rid of that Republican would things be peachy... That's what San Francisco essentially did... Reality has long been absent in those minds...

He could go into those liberal enclaves and say he's a big spending type of guy that believes in Abortion and the queer/woke agenda and he wouldn't be lying or pandering for their votes.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.
