    The castle of Thiverval-Grignon is preparing to receive new souls. This building which stands in Yvelines will indeed accommodate 195 migrants, most of them from East Africa. These new occupants had fled their country to go to Mayotte. Expelled from the archipelago camp, they will land, this Monday, February 26, at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, and will be taken care of by volunteers from the Red Cross and social workers from Emmaüs, reports The Parisian.

    These migrants will stay at the Château de Thiverval-Grignon until mid-March. After this period, they will be directed to accommodation solutions in the provinces. This decision, imposed by the prefecture “without possible negotiation,” is however not to the taste of all the inhabitants of the commune. The mayor of Thiverval-Grignon is particularly surprised by “the suddenness and the urgency of this request,” even though “the situation in Mayotte is not new.” The councilor thus wrote to his constituents to warn them and assure them that she will endeavor to “obtain guarantees, both for the well-being and security of people.”  ...
