If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

That's great! He may look like Spaulding Smails, but the boy can play.

Guy looks pretty smart and skilled. Actually, Bird might have been a little more athletic.
Back in the seventies they didn't have ESPN and the ability to see the best players in the country on a regular basis like they do now. They didn't start telecasting the national championship live until Kareem Abdul Jabbar's senior year, 1969. Then he was still called Lew Alcindor.
I didn't see Bird play for Indiana State until his senior year when IS played Wichita State on national tv. Bird had 49 points against a good team. It looked like men against boys.
Bird could have skipped his senior year no question and starred in the NBA. Avila looks good in college, the pros might be different.

Indiana State came up short in the NIT Championship.  They had a seven point lead with a few minutes left, but didn't score again.  Seton Hall put up the last nine points and won by 2.
