Gov’t workers to go on ‘hunger strike’ to protest Biden support for Israel

The left is pulling out all the stops to pressure President Biden to force a ceasefire in the Israeli-Hamas war that’s now entering four months.

Feds United for Peace told the Guardian its members will participate in a “day of fasting” Thursday to call attention to Israel’s use of “starvation as a weapon of war by intentionally withholding food from entering Gaza.”

The group of anonymous workers at over two dozen U.S. government agencies has already held a walkout in support of the Palestinian people, citing unreliable casualty statistics put out by the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry — the agency claims the death toll has surpassed 26,000 and more than 64,000 have been injured.

Those participating in the hunger strike are encouraged to wear keffiyehs, a Palestinian scarf that is being used in a show of solidarity with those in the Gaza Strip.

My guess is that most of these employees could stand to miss more than a meal or three.  If Biden was a man they would be missing a paycheck going forward.

Can you still drink alcohol and smoke dope while on a hunger strike? That may be a deal breaker for a good number of government employees.
