Protesters hurl soup at Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa in Paris
« on: January 28, 2024, 03:40:29 pm »
Two protesters have hurled soup at the bulletproof glass protecting Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic painting, the Mona Lisa, in Paris’s Louvre museum.

The act of vandalism on Sunday, which came as French farmers protested across the country, was the latest in a string of similar attacks against artworks to demand more action to protect the planet.

On Sunday morning, local time, two women flung streams of red and orange soup onto the glass protecting the painting, sparking gasps from bystanders.

“What is more important? Art or the right to healthy and sustainable food?” they asked, standing in front of the painting and speaking in turn.

Ok .... yet another bizarre outburst.

Mona Lisa: Protesters throw soup at da Vinci painting

................A group called Riposte Alimentaire (Food Counterattack) claimed responsibility for the stunt.

In a statement posted to X, formerly Twitter, it said the protest was part of efforts to integrate "food into the general social security system".

It said that the current model for food "stigmatises the most precarious and does not respect our fundamental right to food".

The group called for a food card worth €150 (£128) to be given to citizens each month to be used on food. .............

UGLIEST GENERATION: Mona Lisa Attacked by Leftwing Lunatics
By Pamela Geller - on January 29, 2024

This generation has done nothing, created nothing, they despise beauty, truth, reason, reality – they’ve destroyed masculinity, robbed women of our greatest gifts, hated the good, exalted evil and basically just shit on everything.

They are the ugliest generation.

Think of it. Art, music, the architecture, literature, movies – all garbage.

It's about time the woke up!  I've been saying for decades if anyone wants to end global warming the only real way to do it is to throw soup on the Mona Lisa! :whistle:

What an odd way to spell the words "Attention Whores".

@roamer_1

And it would PROBABLY  be a safe bet to claim both  come from upper middle-class or richer families,and have never been hungry a single day of their lives unless they were on diets so they could fit into  last year's bikini at the beach.

"Activist" = unemployed/unemployable.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn
