Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that both former Presidsent Donald Trump and President Joe Biden could “barely make a cogent point.”

Kristen Welker said, “Let’s talk about what Nikki Haily is saying and she’s stepped up her rhetoric against former President Trump who seemed at a rally to confuse Nikki Haley with the former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I want to get your reaction.”

At a campaign rally Trump said, “By the way, they never brought the crowd on January 6. Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, do you know they destroyed all of the information and deleted and destroyed all of it because of lots of things like, Nikki Haley is in charge of security. We offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guard, whatever they want.”

Welker said, “Setting a side that everything he said was factually incorrect.”

Sununu said, “Setting that aside.”

Welker continued, “Nancy Pelosi is not in charge of security at the Capitol and she wasn’t on January 6. Nikki Haley said this is yet another moment that raises more questions about whether Trump is mentally fit to serve. Do you think Donald Trump is mentally fit to serve as president?”

Sununu said, “If Joe Biden or Donald Trump either one get off the teleprompter they can barely make a cogent point.”

Welker said, “Is Trump mentally fit? You’re saying he is not?”

Sununu said, “Not at this moment. The point is you have two 80-year-olds fighting this thing out. That is not what America wants. This is not the Donald Trump, the disruptor of 2016. The guy has lost his fast ball. That’s a great example of it. We always want to go forward in America. We always want that next generation. Neither of these guys represent the next generation.”

Really, so DeSantis isn't competent? Tell ya what, if what DeSantis has accomplished is because of not being competent, it's pretty damn impressive. Obviously we disagree here, not only does DeSantis have proven Congressional experience, but also proven executive experience running a state, not as a dictatorial business owner, and he is by far better qualified to serve as President than anyone else running on either side. YMMV.

I'm not sure that's true of the parties as such, but it is definitely true of a large faction within each party.  Seems to be the what we're left with from a lot of Trumpers when it is pointed out how he won't be able to build conditions to pass legislation. "Well, at least he will tick off the lefties."

 Sununu: ‘Everybody should be concerned’ with Trump’s presidential immunity argument

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu on Sunday expressed opposition towards former President Trump’s argument that a president should have total immunity, saying “everybody should be concerned” with the former president’s view.

Asked on NBC’s “Meet the Press” if he agrees a president should have total immunity, “even for things that cross the line,” Sununu said, “Of course not.”

Sununu was played a clip of Trump’s comments over the weekend at a rally in New Hampshire, where he argued a president should be allowed immunity so “that president can act and do what he feels and what his group of advisors feel is the absolute right thing.”

“The amazing thing about that clip is he was dead serious. He wasn’t even making one of his ridiculous jokes. He was dead serious about that,” Sununu reacted. “And that should give everybody – I don’t care what political party you’re from, whether you’re an extreme conservative or a socialist liberal – everybody should be concerned with that type of mentality going into the White House.”

I’m confused.  If I read and heard this correctly Trump said HALEY was in charge, then this critique talks about Pelosi not being in charge.

Trump is really losing it if he referred toHALEY regarding Congress.  Pelosi was the head if he wanted to be close.

Both are claiming that Trump did not offer to provide security at the Capitol for January 6.
Everything that Trump said in that clip IS true!
The only error is that he misspoke, and said it about Haley, not Pelosi.

The Swamp is claiming that Haley, and not Trump, is competent.
When The Swamp says that someone is competent,
it means that the someone is fully on board with The Swamp's corruption!

There is much reason that the DEMOCRATS' fat cat donors
are financing Haley's campaign!
