Multiple Shooting Victims Reported at Iowa High School
Law enforcement were quickly on the scene at Perry High School, around 35 miles from Des Moines

Authorities were investigating reports of a shooting at a high school in Iowa on Thursday morning, according to local news outlets.

There may be multiple victims at the school in Perry, according to local news outlet WHO Des Moines. The school is around 35 miles from Des Moines.

The reports began to emerge just after 8 a.m. local time, with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office telling NBC News an investigation was underway.

The Messenger has approached the office for further details.

Police swarmed an Iowa high school early Thursday amid reports of an active shooter.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to Perry High School at about 9 am following the reports, WHO13 reported.

The streets surrounding the school have been blocked off and multiple ambulances are on scene.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there is an active shooter investigation.

Officials haven’t disclosed any further information.

At least one person was killed and others injured in a shooting Thursday morning at Perry High School in Iowa, according to law enforcement officials briefed on the situation.

There appears to be at least two people injured on scene as well, the officials told ABC News.

The scene is now "secured," according to Dallas County, Iowa, officials.

The FBI's resident agent at its Des Moines office has responded to the scene to assist the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the FBI said. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is also on scene.

Perry is located in the suburbs northwest of Des Moines.

Further details were not yet available.

TikTok has scrubbed an account that allegedly belonged to the Perry High School shooting suspect, Dylan Butler. Luckily, I captured a screen recording of the account before it was taken down. The account was named 'tooktoomuch' and featured a pride flag in the bio. The person who owned the account appeared to be a loser, mentally ill, druggy.
