I live in Colorado and I plan to vote for Donald Trump, if his name does NOT appear on the 2024 Primary ballot, I will be suing the entire state of Colorado for violating my rights

    Even if the USSC vacates this ruling Trump will still lose Colorado to DeSantis.

From my understanding each state has their own laws regarding elections and as long as they are in compliance with federal laws the states cannot be overruled.

That is 100% correct @libertybele and Article II of the federal constitution (Supreme law of the land) lays out clearly who is entitled to run for president. Any state who ignores that is in violation of federal law.

So....these deadlines are problematic??? At the end of the day when all is said and done, I foresee Roberts ruling with CO and against Trump.

 The 4-3 ruling will be placed on hold until January 4, pending Trump’s appeal to the US Supreme Court, which could settle the matter for the nation.

The state Supreme Court decision only applies to Colorado, but the historic ruling will roil the 2024 presidential campaign. Colorado election officials have said the matter needs to be settled by January 5, which is the statutory deadline to set the list of candidates for the GOP primary scheduled for March 5.

Could be reversed on the basis that the USC deems that all states shall be Republics. It's a stretch...

This decision is far worse than anyone here has noted so far.  The ruling is in regard to a party's primary election - not the Presidential election.  The Colorado Supreme Court is interfering with a political party's primary process that may or may not have any bearing on a Presidential election.   And there is NOTHING in the Constitution that gives any judge the right to decide who can or cannot run in a party primary.  If they wanted to allow the King of England on the ballot, it is 100% within their right to do so.

The irony here is that the reason the RNC pushed Colorado to reinstate the primary in 2016 is because Trump lost to Cruz.  Now Trump is unhappy with the primary.

Not only is this a precedent setting ruling against a litigant who hasn't even been charged.  Co Supreme court members should be sweating whether their ruling might encroach as impeachable, oon their part.

Putting out rulings that are crazily outside 100% of the basic tenants of law?  If Trump wins, I hope he sics his DOJ on them , to investigate what level of influence was applied, and from where.
