Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans injected the Israel-Hamas war and US-based terrorism into their questioning of the first Muslim nominated to a federal appellate court seat.

Republicans questioned Adeel Mangi, nominated to the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Wednesday on whether he condemned the Hamas attack in Israel on Oct. 7 and the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

“Do you condemn the atrocities of Hamas terrorists?” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) asked during the hearing.   ...
The Bloomberg reporter didn't bother to report whether Mangi responded to Sen. Cruz. Apparently, he didn't want to respond to anything about Israel.
Here's what Sen. Cotton tweeted yesterday:

Tom Cotton
@SenTomCotton
I asked President Biden’s judicial nominee today, Adeel Mangi, whether Jews are “colonial settlers” in Israel. He refused to answer the question. It’s unacceptable this is the type of judge the Biden administration nominates.

No on this guy.

No muslims.
I DO believe in "religious tests" for certain positions.
And I don't care what you think about that.

Would he comply with the U.S. Constitution,  or try to impose Sharia law? Where does his loyalty lie?

Do better, Ted.  Present examples to uncover Mangi's knowledge of and fidelity to the US Constitution.

@mountaineer

He would either try to impose Sharia Law,or he would be murdered by his fellow Muslims.
