President Biden's son Hunter Biden will be indicted in California, Fox News has learned.

While the exact nature of the charges remain unclear, the indictment in the Central District of California was expected later Thursday.

Special Counsel David Weiss has been using a federal grand jury in Los Angeles to gather evidence of possible criminal tax charges against Biden.

Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty in October to federal gun charges in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware after being charged out of Weiss' years-long investigation.

President Biden's son Hunter Biden was indicted in California Thursday on nine new charges related to his alleged failure to pay taxes, according to documents made public. 

The nine new charges include three felonies and six misdemeanors. Hunter Biden is already facing federal firearms charges in Delaware over his purchase of a firearm in 2018 despite being a substance abuser.

According to the latest indictment, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the younger Biden engaged in a four-year scheme to not pay at least $1.4 million in federal taxes between 2016 and 2019.

The indictment says Biden spent millions on an "extravagant lifestyle" – including membership in sex clubs and more than $188,000 on adult entertainment – rather than paying his taxes.

According to the indictment, Hunter Biden "continued to earn handsomely and to spend wildly in 2018." His "expenditures increased as his income increased," the indictment says.

"In 2018, the Defendant spent more than $1.8 million, including $722,000 in cash withdrawals, approximately $383,000 in payments to women, approximately $151,000 in clothing and accessories, approximately $78,000 in miscellaneous retail purchases and other payments," the indictment details. "The Defendant did not use any of these funds to pay his taxes in 2018."

Special Counsel David Weiss has been using a federal grand jury in Los Angeles to gather evidence of possible criminal tax charges against Hunter Biden.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder said Thursday on CNN’s “Laura Coates Live” that there is “no question” there is a “political component” to President Joe Biden’s son Hunter being charged for tax-related crimes.

Coates said, “He saying, look, I’m being targeted. it’s a continuation of a larger discussion about the weaponization of the government. You heard this a lot. When you see a case like this, it’s Hunter Biden an example of a witch hunt or a justice being at least pursued?”

According to the indictment, filed by DOJ Special Counsel David Weiss in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Biden spent hundreds of thousands of dollars specifically on "adult entertainment" and "women," including a sex club membership and strippers.

Here are the 5 most salacious details contained in the indictment:

1. Biden allegedly spent a total of $872,172 on "various women" and "adult entertainment"

From 2016 to 2019, Biden allegedly spent $683,212 paying what the indictment described as "various women," including people he had romantic or sexual relationships with, and $188,960 on adult entertainment, including a sex club membership, exotic dancers and strip clubs.

"Between 2016 and October 15, 2020, the Defendant spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes," the indictment read.

The total $872,172 was just a portion of the millions Biden allegedly spent in those years, before ultimately receiving financial support between Jan. 2020 and Oct. 2020 that still did not go to the Internal Revenue Service.

A Trump-appointed judge is set to oversee Hunter Biden's tax evasion case as the First Son faces nine new charges filed by the Justice Department on Thursday.

Judge Mark Scarsi, an appointee of the former President Donald Trump, has been assigned the case which alleges Hunter was involved in a four-year $1.4m tax evasion scheme.

All nine charges relate to tax, including two felony charges for filing a false return, a felony charge for tax evasion, four failure to pay charges, and a further two charges for failure to file. The charges span the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 tax years.

Prosecutors allege President Joe Biden's son spent millions on an 'extravagant lifestyle' while avoiding paying taxes for years. The Justice Department says Hunter faces up to 17 years in prison.

The 53-year-old is also facing up to 25 years in prison on felony gun charges in Delaware in the second trial that could have a devastating impact on his father's 2024 campaign.

The indictment states that despite receiving millions in personal income and financial support from a friend, Hunter 'spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes'.

Comer: DOJ Indicted Hunter to Protect Joe Biden

House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that he believed Hunter Biden was indicted by federal prosecutor David Weiss on nine federal tax counts on Thursday to protect his father President Joe Biden.

Comer said, “What he got charged with, with that indictment last night, that had nothing to do with all of the so-called loans that the Bidens have taken. We’ve identified, it appears, with the president’s son and brother, over $14 million in loans where it doesn’t look like they made any payments on, principal or interest. And what point do those loans, if you’re not going to pay ’em back, become income?

Comer added, “So, we think this is just the tip of the iceberg. We think there’s many more crimes. and my concern is that Weiss may have indicted Hunter Biden to protect him from having to be deposed in the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.”

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Ah, yes, yes. He indicted him to protect him. Yess the classic rubric. He indicted him to protect him. I got it.”

Comer said, “Well, look, this whole thing Jake, you know, this whole thing’s been about a coverup. You know you’ve got two serious—

Hunter Biden’s 2021 memoir, "Beautiful Things," was cited repeatedly in a California indictment detailing tax charges against him this week, outlining how he talked about lavish spending at a time when prosecutors say he should have been paying taxes.

Biden is facing nine charges alleging a "four-year scheme" when he did not pay his federal income taxes from January 2017 to October 2020 while also filing false tax reports.

The charges break down to three felonies and six misdemeanors related to $1.4 million in owed taxes that have since been paid. The special counsel alleged Hunter "spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills," and that, in 2018, he "stopped paying his outstanding and overdue taxes for tax year 2015."

"[W]hen he did finally file his 2018 returns, [he] included false business deductions in order to evade assessment of taxes to reduce the substantial tax liabilities he faced as of February 2020," Weiss alleged.

The indictment describes how, in 2019, he began writing the memoir, "Beautiful Things," and received approximately $140,625 from January to October 2020, which was deposited into his wife’s bank account. The indictment also said that, in 2018, he claimed approximately $388,810 in business-related travel. While he was making those claims to accountants, he was working on the memoir but did not share it with them, the document says.

That memoir outlines the extensive drug use that he was involved in at that time, undercutting claims about his business expenses.
